a grasp of this new offense to be able to start? I mean, this is the 3rd new offense he's had to learn since he's come to Miami, do you think he could go out there and feel comfortable in his reads? I'm sure hoping he does!

Who cares, Gus has a lot of experience in it, and can't even get into the 40's QB rating. Give Sage a chance

yeah but he has still been on the same team with players he's been around the last couple of years.

i am sure he knows just as much as the other guy.

i think he might even have a better rapport with some of the receivers. hence the touchdown he threw. he may have more confidence in his receivers.

I agree.

If he has screwed the pooch by not studying shame on him. I don't think Saban would have promoted him if he didn't think he could get it done. He HAS to know he will play. No-one lasts 16 games behaind a line like ours. The incentive to get it down would be great. I still believe (for no good reason) that Feeley had casual study and work habits and that is why he and Saban didn't work.

sage is in the same position all the players except Gus. he knows it as well and any player on the field. Its his job to be ready once his number is called.

Seriously he couldn't be any worse than Gus. It looks at times that Gus doesn't know when a receiver is coming open. He just pats the ball then makes a bad pass.

Yeah, that is teh one thing you can take from preseason, he showed that he had a knowledge of teh system and was comfortable in it. I think this system plays to Sage's strength and that is downfield passing. Look at the pass to CC friday, it was a tight spiral on teh money.

Gus has much more experience than Sage. Gus has not shown any improvement or progress. At this point, Start the next Sage. How bad can it get, You think we lose the next game ?
