Do you think that Ted Ginn is the Fastest NFL player?? I know many people will say that Devon Hester is faster or has faster football speed but im not sure i agree with that because hester uses more move and ginn uses straight speed...

At this point I really don't care. Ginn is fast enough to make plays like the one he did tonight and that's all that matters.

With Chris Johnson running a 4.24 at the combine, he may stake claim to being the fastest player in the NFL.

In straight line speed i think he is.....with pads and stuff you dont need to be the fastest just faster that the guys chasing you which Ginn is

What's your definition of fast? Acceleration or striding?

Devin Hester accelerates from 0 faster then Ginn, but Ginn has a much higher top speed.

has faster football speed

Oh how I loathe that term.

IMO Ginn has the best top end speed in the game.

go look at the td run Chris Johnson had this preseason. guy is faster than Ginn Id say.

No No No. Lets not get carried away. Ginn isn't even the fastest player on the team WR Jayson Foster is faster. Hester has a another full gear above Ginn. Don't get me wrong, Ginn is fast. But Hester will be a hall of famer. He will have all the PR and KR records this year. Hester isn't a very good WR however, I think Ginn will be better than him at that. But not KR and PR. Hester is the fastest most amazing player I have ever seen in person.

He's gotta be up there though?

I mean at least top 10?

I don't know about 40 times and what not, i'm not really into the whole combine stuff. But game speed, when i see Ginn returning he's like a flash of lightning. He's so incredibly fast and agile.

I really think in terms of top end speed it would be michael bennet.

He is really fast, but I don't believe he is faster than Ginn. Ginn I believe was 4.28 40 in college, I dont' consider who has best times on the 40 as fastest, but game speed. Some guys look like they are running extremely fast with their legs moving really fast and going down the field. But the basis or pure speed, is seeing the player just buzz right by other players and how much separation he gets away in so little time. On that TD run, Chris broke away, the guy was still behind, he obviously wasn't catching him, but I have seen many good returners run for TDs or fast Wrs take it to the house, but I have not seen a player since Deion Sanders, and Eric Green just little pull away like a lamborgini from a player and just get 20 yards of separation or even 10 yards of separation in such a little amount of time.

I don't know if he is the fasters but he has to be among the top 3 or five in the nfl, at just how he blows by everyone. Look at his TD against Buffalo, the whole team had the angle on him 20 yards ahead running toward it while he was still going to the sideline, yet even the smaller fast players, he blows by like nothing and sometimes it looks like he's not even running full bore, because of already being ahead of the player or near the endzone without having too worry about being caught and he's still a ahead of players easily.

from 0 -20 hester is defintly faster but from 20 on ginn is with out a doubt the fastest player in the nfl. tedd ginn jr was not only a football star in ohio st he was also a track star. he was the number 1 track star in ohio st during his time there. i believe ginn was a track champion 3 years in a row but im not 100% sure . tedd ran the 100 yard meeter race in college in 10.3 seconds and the fastest guy in the olympics who broke a record was around 9.7 . or somthing around that. if tedd ginn was not making millions playing the sport he loves the most than he would have been in bejing china in the olympics.

Yamon Figurs is faster, and a more talented returner, but not as good a receiver.
