Do you think we already have a power struggle taking place between Philbin & Ireland?

No struggle Ireland has all the power that much was made clear when courting Fisher. Why are you guys acting surprised now?

Philbin wanted marshall gone and got his way, what makes you think he wouldn't get the Qb he wanted also?

Agreed. I find it very, very hard to believe that Philbin took the job without having some kind of agreement in place that he could have some input on his QB. It's possible that Philbin is the one who wants A. Smith.

Man that is funny! All I wanted to do was start a lively discussion! Guess it worked! I have no evidence Philbin wanted Flynn or Ireland wanted smith, it's all speculation! I just hope this franchise makes the right decision and starts winning again!

Yes because he doesn't need money to live?

WTF!

I mean, really?
Can you tell me that it doesn't look like that from the OUTSIDE?

I know he's not doing it on purpose but he's doing it. On the one hand he's trying to show Ross how savvy he is by saving money on free agents and in reality he's losing every battle. Watch him sign Garrard for 2 years $12 million and $4 million guaranteed and then he'll toot his horn saying how much money he saved getting a veteran QB in the mix.

You think Matt Millen drafting a WR in the first round of every draft in Detroit was not screwing the organization? He thought he was doing the right thing but he was setting that organization up for failure...eventually he got fired. Ireland thinks that vote of confidence he got from Ross when everyone said he should have been out with Sparano gives him the right to do whatever he wants because the owner trusts him. Eventually he's going to screw himself too.

Lets see how close I am to Garrards real numbers.
