In 2010 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins under the then football operations vice president "Big Tuna" Bill Percells, drafted pretty much all defensive players. They went into the knowing that they had to fix a pretty bad defense and they did. They had 8 picks just like they do now and spent all picks but one on defensive players. OG john Jerry being the only offensive player selected, played for the team or four years as a starter on the right side. I won' t be mad if they 6 of the 8 picks on defense and the other two on offense, preferably OG nd RB.

Nah they will never be that lucky again

They are in a position where they have nothing to lose this draft if they go BPA all the way if they want. There may be some positions they steer away from early like quarterback or dtackle for example. Next year will be different. This year they can fill what they don't draft via FA. IMHO.

You mean, the one where we passed on Earl Thomas to trade down for Odrick and then picked Misi one pick ahead of Gronk? That 2010 draft strategy? :err:

The 2012 draft SHOULD have paid off by now. It really was a pretty good draft

No oo !!! I mean going almost all defense. BTW, no one wanted anything to do with Gronk because of his back surgery.

We need to steal the draft board from a competent team and then go BPA.

The talent in this draft is mostly on the defensive side so that strategy might work. I'd say a guard in the 2nd and a running back maybe in the 4th and defense with the rest of the picks. Of course, it depends who drops. If Zeke Elliott is there at #13 I think you take him. That could change the draft quite a bit.

Beat me to it, but that draft still really really agitates the crap out of me. It really illustrates how poorly this team has evaluated young draft talent.

Dude, just because an injury-riddled player works out once in a while doesn't mean it would have been the smartest decision at the time. Anybody can look in the past and say "ooooo we should have picked this guy!"

Yeah but more often that not Belichick's gambles end up panning out. Call it luck or whatever..
