He is not deserving of the moning he is going to get, not a great route running drops a lot of balls, i would wrader spend the money on a good TE and CB!

Not really because I think he is a little overrated AND we're probably going to have to grossly overpay in order to get him.

If our goal is give Tannehill all the weapons he needs then it is a good idea to sign Wallace. Why? We have a #2 Hartline (great WC offense WR who works the middle and edges of the field), We have our slot guy in Bess. Where we are lacking is a big body possession type WR and a blow the top off a defense WR. Look at FAs available and the draft and no where is there a guy who can effectively run the 9 route and who can contribute right away. Patterson is more of a Jennings type which might fill the possession role for this year until he develops. Wallace is the only option of a guy who is fast and can run the 9 route DEMANDING a defense to use a safety over him which frees up the other WRs and the running game. If Tannehill is to grow even more this year he needs the best available options to support him rather than relying on unproven WRs or draft pick WRs which usually take time to develop. That being said I do hope the Dolphins get him and if we overpay then we do. It's Free Agency and you almost always pay more especially when you're targeting the top FA available.

Very good sir! Would you care for another glass of Kool-Aid?

Yes it might help Tannehill and improve the offense this year, but looking forward, there may not be enough money left to pay the other 51 guys. That's my problem with it.

If we don't sign Wallace and he tears it up somewhere else (and doesn't bankrupt their team), I will not be complaining as it was the best decision not to overpay a guy like him based on what we have seen thus far.

Stop worrying about money. We have QB on a rookie deal for 3 more years. Also the rookie cap makes it much easier to get cheap talent at non impact positions. I find it amazing that many on this board have no trouble paying Jake Long 11 million but can't stand the idea of a playmaker getting 12 million. Have we learned nothing?

Ireland needs to realize when the time is right, and it sure as hell is not right at the moment. No more than an annual $17m or you cut ties and put the gear shift into neutral once again.

Yes, but with qualifications: without Antonio Brown, he may not be the wide out we hope him to be. So it would depend on whether we end up paying him too much more than the $9.5MM Andre Johnson is earning, as he's nowhere the receiver that AJ is! If we have to pay him in the mid teen$ which is what AJ's peers, Megatron and Fitz are earning, then definitely not!

If we give Wallace more money then Andre Johnson is making we've lost our god#%* minds.

...he has ELITE speed. Even if he isn't the greatest WR I still want him on my offense as a decoy for 3rd downs and trick plays. He was VERY underused in this offense.

I dont think he is an elite #1 WR and is not worthy of the $$... He is a body catcher and has a very poor football IQ.
People make it seem like his skill set is rare. Its not, his skillset is not unique. You can find a fast WR almost every year in the draft.
