The Miami Dolphins front office seems especially attuned to the fans' sentiment in this head coaching search, so the results of this poll could receive some press if we get a lot of votes here. It wouldn't be the first time something from Finheaven was quoted in the press.

Here's the short list at this point:

Cam Cameron
Dom Capers
Chan Gailey
Jim Mora Jr.
Mike Shula

Let us know if you want one of them or if you'd choose another guy if you could.

If you'd choose another guy, let us know who.

I said this in another thread, but I'll say it again...

Put me down for the character and class that Mike Singletary would bring to the organization. He's a heck of a leader and motivator that I'm sure the players would respond to.

Then, just allow the assistant coaches (minus Mularkey) coach....

Didn't take long!

seeing as none of the candidates have any sizzle im going with mike shula this dude was born and breed on the fins and id like to give a young a shot instead of another retread

I can live with Cameron, Gailey or Capers but I would continue the search and interview Caldwell or McDaniels, Rex Ryan, Mike Tomlin 2nds interview, and call back Brian Schottenheimer just to see that now that his dad is staying whether he changed his mind. I would also give one last call to Parcells

In order of preference

Brian Schottenheimer
Josh McDaniels
Rex Ryan
Bill Parcells
Jim Caldwell
Mike Tomlin
Cam Cameron
Chan Gailey
Dom Capers (he would be higher but I like the idea of keeping him as Def Coor)

Jim Mora and Shula are off my list. I think they would be horrible picks

I prefer Rivera, Tomlin and Singletary in that order. So I guess I'm bound to be a little dissappointed this time around

I like Singletary and have been convinced that Tomlin can be good by some of the arguments for him. Generally I prefer defensive minds running the team but we need offense bad!. That's why I think we really need an offensive mind first

In Order of Preference (if i could choose anyone)

B. Shottenheimer
Mike Tomlin
Cam Cameron
Ron Rivera
Rex Ryan

I think you can check Mike shula off the list. It was reported in NFL total access he wasnt a top choice and most likely wouldnt be considered.

Yes, call back Brian!!

He's still my #1 choice, but realistically, I'd probably go with Tomlin or Rivera before I sniffed at our top 5.

EDIT: Josh McDaniels would get an interview at the least too if I ran things.

dom capers he knows the organization knows the problems and what has to be done plus jimmy cefalo said he has a good relation with randy mueller
he was fired once but so was bill bellichik and dom capers has great leadership skills and is respected by his players

Yeah but I wanna show that the percentage of fans who want someone other than one of the current candidates at least approaches the percentage of fans who want one of the current candidates, Shula included.

I think we're doing a good job of that already. Mike Shula and company aren't running off with anything here.

Well thank god you don't run things then. It's unproven mediocrity or bust with you huh?

BTW I like your "after" picture of Schottenheimer in your avatar. The stress of not being ready to become a head coach turned his hair and goatee white:sidelol:
