Frerotte tends to completely overthrow the ball when there's pressure coming and that he tends to throw the ball off of his back foot instead of stepping in to the pass? I know that he's been quite inaccurate on most of his throws but I started seeing this last week and now I'm seeing it again.

He's feeling what AJ felt last year when you don't think you'll have time to throw.

You may be right. I've seen this over and over again and as I watch the replay, I see that KC keeps sending the house in obvious passing situations.

If Carr becomes the QB next year and there isn't a change on the line, we won't have to worry about this. He has proven he'll just take sacks instead of trying to make throws...

yup. houston's line isn't nearly as bad as people think it is. i've seen him hold the ball for 5 seconds just staring down the field. he needs the brad johnson school of QBing

at least he's not throwing them to safeties, linebackers, defensive ends...

thats true but he isn't throwing them to our players either.

you need both qualities to be a good qb and gus isn't that as shown by his crappy performances.

One thing is for sure: Davis doesn't seem to have much of a problem with the line. They're either just horrid pass blockers, Carr is Rob Johnson, or it's a mix of the two. I think it's probably a mix.

Just think about how many passes in the past 2 weeks were grossly inaccurate? If you remember, Chambers had to make a hell of catch just to keep from adding to his incompletion percentage.

A big reason for the overthrows is he's trying not to throw INT's...Not every time but a lot of the time that's a major reason.

I know that this is going to sound bad but I'd rather have a QB that is trying to win the game and make the passes where they are supposed to be even if he throws picks than a QB that is grossly inaccurate and sometimes hits on a big pass yet never throws an INT.

On the one hand, the QB is playing not to lose. On the other hand, the QB is playing to win.
