This sucks why all these recievers keep coming in the NFL and wearing numbers like 11 such as roy williams and Fitzgerald and Then you got 18 for Randy Moss and now we got Santionio Holmes at number 4 does anybody think there should be a number policy I sure think there should I think you should only be able to wear numbers only in the 80's unless the team runs out of number 80's does anyone else think or am I just gonnna hear negative comments.

The reason the WR's can wear the #'s in the teens is the reason you mentioned, teams were running out of #'s in the 80's. Both TE's and WR's wear them. Add that to the fact that some teams retire numbers in the 80's. That's just not enough numbers for two positions.

But you're wrong about Holmes wearing #4. He's wearing #10.

I don't know, I don't feel like looking it up. I don't see a problem with the receivers wearing #'s in the teens.

that to, Larry's teams are not playing inspired. They are not the hungry aggressive club I so love. In defense of Larry, the school has raised the acedemic requirements making it tougher for Miami to go after the "gangsta's". I know he has rattled the coaching staff up but I don't think that will help.

santonio holmes is wearing #10 not 4, it aint even a big deal, the only damn numbers im worried about is the points on the scoreboard. You, the media, and reggie bush need to stop worrying about metrosexuall cosmetic items like uniform numbers.

Seriously, WTF is your problem dude? You are makign a huge deal out of some tiny thing and now calling professional athletes, and basically posters here who defend them, metrosexuals? This is like the 3rd thread in 5 minutes I have read a rude post from you regarding athletes (mainly Reggie) or the fans (mainly the posters here). You have now managed to call us "metrosexuals" (not that it is bad, but you intended it in a derogatory way) and basically called everyone who was thinking there will be an expansion team to LA idiots by saying that their posts are "100% pure garbage". I'm sorry, but you are NOT making a great first impression here :shakeno:

RE-friggin-LAX. AGAIN, to a lifelong athlete who has worn the same number for 20 years it is MORE than a number, you obviously don't seem to understand that :rolleyes2

Another stellar post Nasty. Usually the reason I remember some of the family members here at Finheaven is because they make great posts with good logic and show decency. However, I know who you are because of your ridiculous statements. How have you not been banned yet?

Anyway I like the idea of allowing the skill players to wear whatever they want. Lineman, linebackers and fullbacks should be assigned a certain catergory which the skill players can't have.

I think the rule for WRs that allowed them to use numbers in the teens is only for new players and players that move to another team. Tthat is why say Randy Moss couldn't change his number in Minn. but when he was traded that he could.

Alot of the young WRs think it is cool to have a lower number and pick one. I don't think that in order to get a teens number all of the 80s must be taken. You just have to be new to the team.

Personally I like the idea for only allowing certain numbers for certain positions. Only problem is it can't be to rigid because numbers get retired and there are alot of players to fit into certain catagories.

Anyways just my 2c.
