Think about it.

If the reports are true that we'll be close to 25 million under the cap, we can get him.
He's going to be an unrestricted free agent and he went to the University of Miami.

Now, with our first round pick we can either take a stud cornerback, trade it for a qb (Rivers, etc...) or somehow end up with David Carr.

We can sign some mid-level offensive lineman and blend them with the young ones we have and watch our line continue to progress.

With Chris Chambers, Reggie Wayne, Marty Booker and Wes Welker on the outside, a continually improving o-line, David Carr or Phillip Rivers at QB and Ronnie Brown in the backfield (because we don't know what will happen with Ricky):
EDIT: And Randy McMichael!

IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES.

Wayne will NOT be woth what he is gonna be asking. It's hard to get a good read on his ability since he may very well be a product od Peyton Manning.

I think we need to draft a good young wideout (Holmes) or get a cheaper FA.

Reggie Wayne has become Peyton Manning's more trusted target in the red zone and over the middle.

He can also run the 9 route. The Colts will not be able to afford him. They have too much money wrapped up in Peyton, Marvin and Edge.

Reggie Wayne is a talented WR, I don't care who is throwing him the ball.

i'll take 'em

i liked him more than santana moss coming out of college, and he's looked really good. he runs good routes, has deceptive speed and can play the role of the endzone guy, or the possession guy, or the sidelines guy, etc. very good receiver, but it wouldn't hurt to have another solid receiver opposite him

We can draft a receiver similar to him in Jason Avant from Michigan. They're possession receivers that can run after the catch.

I wouldn't mind having him here, but he will prob be asking for ALOT of money. But I do like your thinking DD28.

Reggie Wayne might equal Leslie Sheppard. The QB makes him look a little better than he is.

Yeah, I know he will. But that's why most GM's are backloading contracts so much these days.

I wouldnt say all that....Gus cant hit the 9 route and Manning is accurate enough and anticipates well enough to hit an open WR as soon as he hits his break!!

By the way the reason Wayne is the goto guy in the red zone is because Harrison attracts all the attention! I'm not saying Wayne is not good but he will likely want top 10 WR money..and he's not a top 10 WR.

I don't see Saban breaking the bank on any one player. I think it's more likely he'll try to bring in several good players over one great player (if you consider Wayne to be great - he will certainly be asking for that type of a contract).

well if he's on the dolphins, who's going to get all the redzone attention? chambers? wayne? mcmichael? ricky? ronnie? the point is that he'll sitll be able to get open on this team. even if he ISN'T a top 10 receiver, he'll be able to put up top 10 numbers (with a better QB, of course)

I think RW would be a decent addition but if you could choose between adding Wayne or Westbrook who would you take? Which one would give our offense the greatest multiplicity?

I would welcome Wayne into Miami....You say Manning has made him....what about Harrison? Hes an amazing WR, but is that because Peyton is throwing him the ball - i think not! Wayne is a very good reciever and would be a fantastic pick up for our Fins.
