tough four to have no Ricky... i'd love to unleash R&R on the Jets week 2.... i'll be happy with 1-3 through those games... then i foresee us picking up a little steam...

thoughts on the schedule overall? Second hardest in the league, and the numbers aren't misleading...

I don't think Buffalo or Carolina will be that good this year, so 2-2 is a little bit more reasonable.

We have an extremely difficult early schedule. The 2 home games are against playoff caliber teams and the road ones are against division rivals. However, I am happy to be at Buffalo and at NYJ early in the year so we won't have to deal with cold weather games against them in December. Also, Pennington may still be rusty and Losman may not be up to NFL speed early in the year.

I'd love to see us 2-2, but would settle for 1-3. Really hope we don't start 0-4. After last year, I need something to be optimistic about early on.

New England has a pretty tough first four games... Oakland, Carolina, Pittsburgh, and San Diego.

2-2 is realistic.

if we can do that, we are in good shape for the season.

This team is gonna be better at the end of the year than where they are now, so getting off to an even start is a very good thing

just can't see this offense getting over the hump against those four defenses ... 1-3 is realistic.... 2-2 is enthusiasticly hopeful...

they break out 2-2 with Ricky coming back for Tampa? i'll be a playoff believer...

I'd be ecstatic if we got throught those 4 games 2-2. I'm thinking 1-3 is more realistic at this point.

as for Carolina... consider these three words: Jenkins vs. McKinney....

obviously it's more complex than that, but come on... their D-line will likely take our O-Line to school...

Denver (IMO: W. Why? Cause Plummer will get pressured into mistakes and no one has a clue really how to gameplan for Nick yet. I also dont think theyre revamped Dl poses any threat aside from Trevor Pryce)
at Jets (IMO: L Why? I actually think the Jets are good enough to challenge NE for the division crown. Law could give them the upgrade @ Cb if he can stay on the field, Coles and Jolley upgraded a passing game that badly needed upgraded weapons)
Carolina (IMO: L Why? They have the best Dl in the game and our OL is still a work in progress. I can see this being a defensive dogfight but I cant see our Offense have much, if any, success here)
bye
at Buffalo (IMO: L Why? I dont know. Its a winnable game certainly as I dont believe we're outclassed by much in terms of talent but Buffalo is always a tough place to play. Its very possible im wrong. I certainly hope I am)

see.... i see us sneaking up and beating the Jets ... well, no, i don't, but of the four... this one would taste the best...

Oh no question. I live in NYc and have to put up with their punk fans. A lot of my friends are jet fans (regretfully) and the last thing i want to hear is them rubbing it in. :shakeno:
