I am curious to get the consensus of fin fans opinions on Damien Williams- In my opinion i think Drake should be on the field instead every single snap over DW. Not only because Damien choked this weekend and arguably nailed in our coffin vs NE- but even before that ive always wondered why he gets put in the game over Drake . I personally don't see anything good in him that drake cant do ( i am no game film expert by any means) . I remember Bill Belichick praising Damien, so is there something i am missing here ?

Hes better then Drake at blitz pickup which could change with experience . I like having them both. Damien has scored how many TDs for us this year? Some of you just wanna dump him

I like that there are 3 RBs on this roster that can all make an impact. I wouldn't get rid of any of them because it arguably creates the most depth of any position.

He has contributed more than he has made mistakes...I like him coming out of the backfield as a reciever

That's exactly how I like him used. He's caught some good balls this year. He's 23 of 31 with 249yds. 10.8yd avg and 3 TDs.

Williams has better routes/hands and is better in pass pro.

He is a solid 3rd down back and has made quite a few big, often unnoticed plays for us. My only gripe is the couple of times he almost screwed us at the end of games by not getting down or out of bounds.....but that was only 2 plays.

I like some of his skill set like hands and pass blocking, but I also believe he has very low football IQ. I'm not talking about the fumble last game - that happens. The stuff that drives me nuts with him are things I hope they can teach but some guys just never get it. Examples include all the botched KRs last year - the highlight being where he muffed the ball in the EZ - then picked it up on the 1 and took a knee (and of course we gave up a safety on the next play), not understanding when he needs to get out of bounds (2x this year). Having said that he does make big plays here and there so I can see why the staff likes him. I would like to see him stick around next year and see if his game improves as much next year as it did this year - he's trending in the right direction - the "stupids" he does are the only thing that gives me pause. That and he's terrible on those 3rd and short runs - stop running him on those, please...

Hes a JAG; somebody when the veteran minimum kicks in I think year 4, he gets replaced.

He's made some critical plays this year guys. Fumbling against the Pats should not equal his demise in Miami.

I like the entire RB room which is something I didn't expect in August.

I think he has converted some big 3rd downs, runs hard, i like him.

I'm chiming in with the mandatory post about New England claiming him if cut, and turning him into a Hall of Famer.

Williams has better routes/hands and is better in pass pro.

Pretty much this....

It is funny how many have soured on him when a couple of years ago some thought he should be getting more carries then Miller.

It took some time to get over his bone head decisions as a kick returner last couple years. As a back up RB, he is solid at pass pro, receiver out of the backfield, and he runs hard...fights for every inch. I think Drake's upside is greater and expect that as Drake improves in some of the forementioned areas next year, Williams' snaps will be reduced...
