Does anyone have any pieces of information at all that might be the slightest bit informative about either of these players? I don't know who these players are, and apparently neither does anybody else as I can't find anything about them online anywhere.

You know, the more I research our later round draft picks, the more irritated I am with the draft as a whole. Rather than picking up late round sleepers with serious upside like Jasper Brinkley, Jarret Dillard, Louis Murphy, and Lawrence Sidbury, we drafted guys who are by all accounts completely off of the ****ing radar.

Annoying to say the least.

So b/c those guys are sleepers (says who anyway?), they had more upside then guys you've never heard of.

How can this possibly make sense?

Because all of those guys that I mentioned are prospects that at one point or another were extremely productive and physically gifted players that could have gone much higher than they did. They slipped in the draft for reasons like injury histories and the fact that they played in college style systems. However, all of them have the physical tools and talent to make it in the NFL so long as they are coached up properly. I would have specifically loved Sidbury because one of our biggest problems last year was consistent pass rush, and we made no attempt to address that in the draft.

Now, do you have anything to contribute regarding John Nalbone or JD Folsom?

Nalbone is a guy who drew interest from both the Patriots and Eagles as well as the Dolphins. Nalbone is 6'4" 257 pounds, ran a 4.57 in the 40, did 22 reps of 225 pounds and had a 35" vertical jump at his pro day. Nalbone was the team captain at Monmouth and is a good all around TE who dominated at his level of competition. Folsom is about 6'2 1/2" and weighs close to 240 pounds. Again, he was another team captain on his college team. He is smart, instinctive and is a hard worker with good character. Folsom said the Dolphins plan to try him at ILB.

Nalbone was a guy the Jets liked, I think they were hoping to sign him as an UDFA.

His level was a very low level of CFB. That doesn't mean he won
t be good but he should dominate at that level.

Nalbone also owns every single TE record at his college. In addition to being a Good TE, he'll also be a contributer on special teams.

Thanks, sounds good. As far as I'm concerned we have very little need for a tight end but I like what I hear about Folsom.

I think that after the Langford and Thomas picks on last years draft, I am pretty sure we will have a surprise from a small school. (I'll bet on Nalbone). I really trusts Ireland/Parcells on those small school ones. I am more worried about our WR picks, because they were on 3rd and 4th rounds and I just don't see any of the two as significant upgrades for London,Camarillo,Bess and Ginn. If Turner turns out to be a very good blocker like Ward or Keyshawn, then I think the potential of having Fasano, Nalbone, Turner and London at the same time, should give a huge boost to the running game, the problem is that there were very good players available, OGs, OLB and other WR's. But the more I see the draft, the more I am liking it. It will all depend on the performance of Davis/Smith, if they turn out to be solid and physical CB's I will be very happy with this draft.

So?

He's done better than any TE in the schools history was my point and it deserves being mentioned.

They just started the program about 15 years ago and it is a very low level college, it's nice that he is the best TE in school history but not quite as meaningful as someone who did it at a good football school that has been around 50-100 years, wouldn't you agree?

I think that I will leave picking our new linebacking core to the same people that picked the Dallas one..... They must have not liked the prospects.

Wow you have been whinning about this for how long now?

Spoken like a Jets fan. If his team had picked him then he'd be great but since we did then he sucks

Where did I say he sucks? I am not like the dolphin fans who said Pennignton sucked then the second you got him he was great or like the dolphin fans that tell us every year your new QB will be great or how Sanchez sucks. I simply posted facts, I don't know if this guy will be good or not but it's not a big deal being the greatest TE in school history at a school like Monmouth that only has 15 or so years of football, wouldn't you agree?

No need? Fasano and Martin are free agents next year. What if they ask for a king's ransom? Our group is not so near sighted as some.
