The answer is no.

Yes, I am a Chambers fan, obviously, but last year he was a pro-bowler with over 1100 yards recieving and 11 tds.
He was also the team MVP last year, so what changed???
Did he all of a sudden just start sucking in one year? The answer is a resounding NO!!!

Look at our quarterback play. Chambers is a down the field deep threat reciever, and the qbs that have played this year have not been the type to throw the ball down field.

Daunte was so slow, that Chambers really had no time to get open down field. Daunte got sacked or threw a pick before chambers could get open.

I have seen Joey throw one long ball all year, which was the flea flicker (which he underthrew anyways). Joey doesn't have the type of armstrength.

I have learned this year to appreciate the QB position, because we haven't had any consistency since dan.

We really need Daunte to perform or else it is going to be another long season.

Chambers didn't all of a sudden get bad, our qbs can't complete a pass over ten yards, and we have marty and wes to run those types of routes. We should have kept Gus as a backup.

He isn't bad it is just that the qb can't get the ball to him.

I love your post man. But you are going to get a billion Joey lovers in here saying that Chambers is to blame for Joey's mediocritiy.

To blame one party or the other is wrong, but I will say that Chambers has markedly regressed this year. The guy refuses to catch the ball with his hands and lets it get to his body and he's far more prone to drops and letting the ball get intercepted with this laissez-faire attitude.

it took you til THIS year to realize the importance of solid QB Play?! After A.J. Feeley and Gus Frerrotte it took you til THIS year?

he dropps tons of passes, does not come back to the ball, and will not fight for the ball he has lost a step imo,he is still young but he does not have that same burst, sorry man but besides his one handed catches he does nothing else he is a average wr just accept it.

he also was having a bad year last year with tons of drops then we went on the winning streak and he had 3 good games.

i agree about joey he sux but chambers has his own problems, drops, bad routes, not attacking the ball ect.

I'm not in ANY way defending our quarterback play, because it has stunk for quite some time, but all of this qb's not getting him the ball stuff is ridiculous. Chris Chambers is not, never was, and never will be a number one receiver. He's decent enough some of the time, but almost never when it counts. Yeah he had a good streak there last year, but it's never been enough. A million drops, a complete inability to come back for the ball, and a total unwillingness to fight for the bad throws are just some of the things wrong with his play. No matter who's throwing the ball, I'd much rather them throw in Marty or Wes's direction.

YES, Chambers sucks. And it isn't all of the sudden. He has had one awesome season. Miami should have a beter guy as the #1 WR of the offense.

No matter what is said it won't change people's opinions... People said Marty Booker should be our number one receiver but he was nonexistant too. Hopefully the QB in 2007 (Culpepper.. crossing fingers) will have some good chemistry with Chambers, Harrington surely isn't have any... And anyone who says Chambers is an average WR must be mistaken... He's still got it... I gurantee if Harrington isn't starting next year, Chambers will go for 1000+ yards...

So after a couple of average seasons, Chambers has ONE good season and he's above average? Uh, NO.

He is average at best, and is not a true #1 receiver in this league.

he gets very little seperation, he did once today, Joey got it there late, Int!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
