1) He probably has the value of a 6th rounder
2) He has a two year contract (One reason he is still here)
3) We have a new coach who hasn't coached these guys (Other than Lemon) and he needs to evaluate all our QB's. Saban wasn't exactly a QB expert so Cam may see something fixable Saban didnt in our guys.

At this point I don't think teams would trade for him when they could just wait and see if we release him.IMO he is still a dolphin because he is healthy,and has experience and has proven he can win.Right now at this point we have no starting QB regardless of what anybody says.Cameron has stated its an open competiton; Culpepper, Harrington,and Lemon all have a chance to win the job nothing is set in stone.

They may be shopping him, but if teams think he's going to get released anyway they may not bite unless they want to secure his services.

He's still here because there's no real reason to do anything with him until they have to pay him his roster bonus.

They talked and Harrington said he likes what he heard and is excited about the upcoming season.

I vaguely remember that report, but it does sound familiar. It sounded like typical coach-speak at the time. Harrington has his roster bonus due soon, if he's retained after that, I'd consider it to be a good indication of the draft and free agency. He's in the 2nd year of a new 3 year contract he signed last year with us.

Yes he has trade value but might still be a Dolphins QB when the season start. Maybe Cam wants to evaluate him during mini-camp/OTAs before making his decision.

I think Harrington will be sticking around for at least another year. He's the best backup we will find without spending more money if they cut him and given Cameron's propensity for turning 1st round QB's into pro-bowlers he's likely to want to work with him before letting him go.

We will likely found out in the next couple weeks though.

u definetely gotta evaluate him first. i mean if someone was dumb enough to give us a 3rd, 4th or 5th for him....im all for it. But that wont happen.
