IMO, Davis ( 65 snaps), Taylor ( 45 snaps), and Dallas (2 snaps) are like having 3 extra rookies coming in that we know nothing about as to if they can play in the NFL. Bad thing last year but, maybe a good one for this year.

They contributed nothing last year, a nd we are not sure of what will come out of this year, like any rookie.

Yup, been saying this awhile, a lot of the success of this season will come down to the success of our 2nd year players. If 3 of them become big contributors, it could help a lot. Got to lump Jordan in there as well. We really got minimal production from the rooks last year.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Taylor brings. Thomas on the other hand...it's a little hard to be excited about anybody who couldn't crack the starting lineup of a trainwreck of an o-line like last year's at any point.

Definitely have to include Jordan in there. Still hard to believe that we had an entire draft that contributed absolutely nothing (outside of losses in the case of Sturgis) in year one.

Philbin does not like to play Rookies much at all.... I think we see big production from Jordan, Taylor. I am not as high on Davis or Thomas, both most likely career bench warmers imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if last year was the fewest reps total by a draft class - and no I don't have any stats to back up this statement - just had a look at the previous draft classes, using this link and perhaps there were fewer snaps from...but not sure

EDIT: link attempt didn't work so here goes again: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/mia/draft.htm

Year - Main player(s)

2000 - Todd Wade, Deon Dyer, Arturo Freeman [Freeman and Wade combined may have had as many reps as 2013 class]

1995 - Billy Milner, Pete Mitchell, Norman Hand, [Hand may have had as many reps as class 2013]

1978 - Jimmy Cefalo, Doug Betters, Bruce Hardy - not sure how much they played as rookies

1975 - Freddie Solomon, Morris Owens, Steve Towle - not sure how much they played as rookies

Hey Pat, I took a quick look at the London Blitz to find out that you guys were battling the "over the pond" version of the Jets, and did pretty well, other than a missed FG. Were you the OC?

I wanted to include Jordan and Sims but, they played a few hundred snaps, and we did get a look at them, although a very short one. IF we include them, we have 12 picks which is not as far fetched as it sounds. Add in Brenner if ya like.

i'm expecting dion jordan, jamar taylor, dion sims, dallas thomas, and jelani jenkins to all contribute significantly this year on offense and defense. i also expect don jones to play special teams all 16 games like he did for the first half of the season last year. aj francis has a shot as well.

Yep. I was OC for 6 years from 2006. 6 Natl Champ appearances with 4 wins and 1 Euro Champ win - so did ok.

Time for the draft picks to step it up. They need to perform or we will be replacing them too.
I am really anxious to see how the team will compete after last seasons let down.

The WRs we just signed is like getting an early draft class as well, plus they're already semi-developed. Unless we could somehow luck into a total stud in round there's no reason to spend even one draft pick on a WR next month. We have 3 legit starters, a fourth who could start in a pinch, and now 3 other developmental players, plus Binn is still around as well, so that's 8 WRs to compete for 4-5 roster spots. That's not even counting Thigpen who could work from the slot in certain plays.

No proof that Philbin doesn't like to play rookies.
Martin and Tannehill started . Not sure where this BS comes from

I hope they prove me wrong but all these players will have little impact including Dion Jordan. Like I said I hope I'm wrong but it's just my feeling. But I think Michael Ola will be the surprise.
