I havent really liked Philbin until this year he has kind of grown on me and seems to have the team behind him....we have lost some last drive games but we also have been having a bad luck season with injuries.....Moreno,Albert,Lamar Miller,Ellerbe(Better then Wheeler) & suspensions of Reshad Jones & Dion Jordan

Would you like to see Philbin and Tannehill play out there contract year together??? Year 2 with Lazor.......

Keep Tannehill, Lazor and Hickey. Cut your losses with Joe.

It's just bad coaching that cost us games it has nothing to with injuries.

9-7 and I bring him back…anything else, he is toast.

I hate him as the HC, but I give credit where it warrants. A 9 win season is improvement and I would welcome him back though I do think he holds the franchise back.

I agree, I think Ross keeps Philbin if we go at least 9-7, because that is an improvement, despite the injuries we've had.
Injuries happen, but losing Moreno & Albert are huge loses, no question.

Yeah, I have to agree with this. If we get to 9 wins then he's got to stay. That way Lazor has another year to work on his offense with Tannehill. Philbin is a poor head coach though. If he's canned, Lazor and Coyle are gone too unless you promote one of them. The next head coach would want his own guys in there. Lazor had potential and it would be a shame to lose him but Coyle can kick rocks. He's a marginal DC, nothing more.

I think Ireland held us back, and we are moving forward now. I've said it all season, unless there is some catastrophic meltdown, I don't think Philbin is even on the hotseat.

I say no in any case barring an AFC championship run. With quality coaching this team could be 7-2 right now

While I don't blame him entirely for the Lions loss, I do see how some coaching decisions affected the final outcome. I pin a big chunk on Philbin for the GB loss.

I've always measured a coach by their game management in close games. Philbin has pretty sorry record in games decided by under 7 points.

A better coach may have us sitting at 7-2 right now due to better situational decision making and game management vs Det and GB.

If we miss the playoffs again, Philbin needs to take the fall. I'm confident that a more competent HC could quickly turn this squad around the same way Reid and Harbaugh did... There is enough talent on this team.

If we finish 8 and 8 or 7 and 9 then Ross will keep him. If we finish 6 and 10 Ross will give him an extension and a raise. Ross loves to make moves 3 years later than he's supposed to.

A one game win form last season in no way warrants bringing (and you hate him as a HC). Even if we make the playoffs I dont want him back. He adds no value whatsoever to this team. Im over him
