With all this talk how we should keep Ricky and how him and Ronnie will tear it up next year which i agree but do you guys think that Ronnie likes this idea because i kind of get the idea that probly after another year i think Ronnie will want it to be his team and for him to be the star back.

So how long will this R&R Express last before Ronnie speaks out or is this Rickys last year.

I think with Ronnie being the type of person that he is (or at least that I perceive him as) I don't see him ever publicly saying anything. He seems to be pretty level-headed, and doesn't seem like the type to stir any controversy, so I think he'll take everything in stride. Plus he's getting paid a crazy amount of money, and he feels a little better on Mondays than his buddy Cadillac.

Well if Ronnie cannot deal with it I'm sure being one of the highest paid backs in the league will console him enough.

he dealt with it in college so why not now?

He can get alot of veteran advice, but on the same token....not get as many carries a game....it's tough to say...

Actually I think this is a perfect situation for him. He's being paid a lot, ricky is another great back BUT not so young anymore so he won't last years and years here...So Brown can rest more, learn, and when get the total nod, his body will last more than others RB's, cadillac as a good example. If we keep Ricky, Ronnie would be the feature back in 2 or 3 years from now IMO.

That's something similar to what's happening to larry johnson in KC. He's a young back that learned from a great back in Priest, and now has the homework done and the body to destroy defenses apart.

i don't think that you'd ever hear either one of them complain about sharing time in the backfield.neither of them are selfish players.

I don't think Ronnie minds splitting time with Ricky. He will get plenty of carries. Ricky will get plenty of carries. Why would they complain? If they split time and do well, they will both hold up at the end of the season when Miami needs to push for the playoffs each year. I think winning matters more than carries. Also, there is always the possibility of one of them missing a few games due to injury. That should make them feel good knowing that they can take the time to heal without hurrying back too soon.

It totally makes sense to keep Ronnie & Ricky in the backfield for as long as they want to play with Miami.

Agreed. Plus they both know this will prolong their careers to some extent.

I saw an interview with him on WSVN, our local station after our final game, and he said he hopes Ricky comes back next year and they'll keep everything exciting

Ronnie has been nothing but class, selflessness and team-oriented about any of this... so personally I don't think there is any reason to connect him, even hypothetically, to a problem with the situation.

I see this as trying to bait R or R into saying something that will be taken out of context, then creating a controversy that doesn't exist.

Is it a wise investment to have one of the higest paid backs in the league, splitting carries?

I seriously doubt that either is thrilled about it, but neither will cause trouble.
