I first want to say that i am huge Saban fan .. i live in toledo and recognized his talents the one year he was here .. it was a dream of mine for our team to get him and we did...having said that .. I think we should all recognize the HUGE part that Randy Mueller is playing in all of this .. the guy is one of the best in the business and I for one think he should get equal or MORE credit for the job the fins are doing in free agency and the draft.GO RANDY !!!!

Thats like asking "Which came first? The chicken or the egg?"...

Both know what they are doing and are doing an excellent job. But it is hard to draw the line between the 2 in terms of the offseason...

randy is great, but he doesnt create schemes. he doesnt draw up plays, and he doesnt motivate players. in short. he didn't get us to 9-7 last year. if he had gotten the talent and we had wanny at coach, we would have been a 5 or 6 win team. that was our problem before saban. no discipline. so no, saban does not get too much credit. he gets more credit because he deserves more. if you ask me, i still think he is not as respected as he should be in the NFL.

Saying Mueller deserves more credit than Saban is like saying Spielman should get more credit than Wann.....oh wait a minute..

saban is a top 5 coach in the league.

I think the poster is sayin in terms of the offseason... does Saban get too much credit... not in terms of coaching or the regular season or anything like that...

In terms of the offseason? I'm not too sure. It is impossible to know the exact role Muller is playing in the offseason moves... but he doesnt get near as much credit as he probably deserves since Saban keeps everyone locked up...

I think the credit is given when a SB ring goes on every member of the organization...IMO, no credit is deserved until the ultimate goal is acheived. Until then, it's a continuing work in progress where EVERYONE gets credit for good AND BAD.

yes, and i include all of that into the "coaching" umbrella.

Well, I wouldnt just because there are alot of head coaches that dont have GM responsibilities...

No way! Saban deserves all the credit he gets. Mueller is doing well in the off season but Saban has the final say based on his contract.

In Saban We Trust!
