I was just thinking that if we draft a quarterback in this year's draft then we will have spent two draft picks on quarterbacks. That isn't a smart thing to do when you have more positions to fill. I really think Saban sees something in Lemon if he traded for him. Whatever we do I trust in Saban.

he is kind of the wildcard. I really don't think Saban looks at him as just a throw-in so we could get rid of Feeley.

I believe that both Saban and Mueller "sees" something good in Lemon's skillset. We will be seeing it for ourselves when the TC comes due.

We could've cut Feeley to lose his cap number.
We didn't have to trade him for that.

We surely didn't have to GIVE UP a 6th rounder to get Lemon.
Saban (and Mueller) see potential in Lemon. We shall see.

BTW, the Charger fans were saying great things about him...

Even if they see something special in him, I would be VERY Dissappionted is we dont draft a QB. I see nothing wrong with investing a 6th plus something else in such an important position.

I read an article somewhere that Saban was hoping to keep him as our 3rd qb, according to the article they expect Sage to end up somwhere else.

They may have more positions to fill, but none is more important than QB. We gave up a 6th for Lemon which is a pick usually used for developmental players and isn't a big risk. I can't see how Miami doesn't use one of their top 4 picks on bringing in a QB for the future.

well Ty, I think Mueller has a draft every year policy on QB's.

I was thinking that I had read that same thing somewhere about Mueller's draft strategy. Shoot, if nothing else some team eventually is going to be willing to do what we did for Feeley and trade us for one of our QBs.

We didn't trade for Lemon, we traded to get rid of AJ. Lemon was undrafted and primarily a practice squad guy. I have no hopes for him other than to play the opposing teams' qb on the scout teams.

it doesn't really matter what mueller thinks. it saban that ultimately decides who to draft and who not to draft. mueller is like an advisor giving saban input. no way saban drafts a qb ever year. i think alot of people dont know this.

If that was true then we wouldn't have given up a 6th round pick and we would have just dumped feeley after the season.
