I hate asking you guys all these questions like this. I am not a local but there is alot of talk about how unhappy Saban is with Pro coaching. Is this true? I would hope that he stays around but you never know with these guys they say their hearts are in it then pooffff they are gone. With Butch Davis signing with NC. That took away a coach that was rumored to being heading to the Canes. Just give me a heads up. By the way how long is Sabans contract?..Thanks guys for your info. Just hang in there this yr. Look how quick we jumped off the wagon last yr. Hang on if even by the hitch on the back and draggin our feet in the dust.:dolphins:

Of course he still has college interests whi doesn't?

Saban and I don't usually discuss that type of thing when we talk. Sorry I can't help you.

saban wants to coach at baylor where they have more wining traditions and that way he play against bob stoops .

If you asking if he would ever accept a coaching job @ The U of M the answer is easily NO. UM doesnt spend or have big money to spend on a coach. Would Saban ever be interested in another coaching job? It is a possibility, but i think he will give Miami his full run.

I think the guy who started the thread wants him to leave to go to the U which won't happen.

All of his friends say that he is very happy at Miami and that this was the right choice to be his first NFL head coaching job.

I really hope it's his last, too - I hope he retires as the Dolphins coach.

If, for some reason, he does go back to the college ranks I'd be rooting for his teams to do well.

I'm not sure when it happened - I wasn't real excited when he became the Dolphins' coach - but I'm a really big Saban fan now.

I agree also - funny thing after the Bears game I think I was happiest for Saban because of all the criticism he's endured daily this season. I understand that the criticism was warranted to some point, but it's the hypocrisy of fans and media that got me. Everyone was behind him last year, then everyone just turned their backs on him. Funny thing is that on Sirius NFL Radio they always talk about how Saban was the first one to say that last year's 6 game winning streak meant NOTHING for this year. This was a different team this year, and still so many fans say that we are losing because he believed his own hype, and thought he was almighty from that winning streak!

Anyway, when he ran on the field after the Bears win you could feel Saban's short moment of relief (at least for one week). Then his wife came on saying how he hadn't slept in months because how rattled the losing had got him.

The man is dedicated to the Dolphins as of now, which is what matters to me. I also think the players really believe in him, and I, as a fan do also after watching him coach.

Nice perspective, JayCee - Great post.

I think I must of missed what his wife had said after the win - thanks for the info.

Jaycee, couldnt of said it better myself. I couldnt stand how a lot people on this site and media had been sayin that saban was on the hot seat and should be fired blah blah blah. They should all read your post, i think it would change their mind.

I've heard the same rumors, but unfortunately, I don't think they are true. And with Huizenga's track record of hanging on to failing coaches, I imagine we are stuck with Saban for three more years.

Just like Brandon Jacobs is a better RB than Ronnie Brown. :sidelol:

I mean seriously. How much weight does ones opinion hold after they say something as uninformed as that? I'll tell you. Not much.

:ri:

Good post Jaycee, another reason Saban isn't going back to college: $4-1/2 million per year, no college pays that kind of money for a head coach, that I know of. I hope we have Saban for 20 years or more, he's going to take us to the SB and win it for us again, and again.
