Which side of the ball (defense or offense) will benefit the most from this off week? We have a tough opponent next week so both sides need to come up with a solid game plan but which side benefits more.

Offense- add a few more wrinkles to the Wildcat. find some new formations get Wr's involved like last week. Penny gets more rapport with the Wide-outs Ronnie gets more snaps continues to regain form more and more.

Defense- we are facing a stout O next week does this allow a better and more extensive game plan to be implemented. Allow our secondary to work together. We just got Anderson back get him some reps at OLB. Among other things

So both sides benefit from having a extra week to get ready for a very good team but which benefits more? Thoughts/opinions

I the bye this year will keep one healthy and two it should help with the gameplan. Next week we will get a Chargers team who has had two very tough matches so we will see.

I think the most importaqnt thing will be another week fo the offense to gel together. We saw a huge improvement last week and two more weeks of practice together should help a lot more. I would love to see them get Ginn isloated for more big plays and also find a way to get Wilford involved. Since most of our passing success has been over the middle it is good that they get more reps to improve route timing since the middle is always a risky place to throw the ball.

I think they both benefit, with the defense working very hard for the upcoming opponent. Mostly our secondary has to be gearing up for a showdown.

I think it benefits the offense more. Chad wants more off time with the WRs to work on timing and chemistry. I think the defense is ok enough to face the Chargers, with Crocker off the starting lineup.

I don't think there is a distinct advantage for either side... If I had to choose I would guess that a young offensive line can always use a little extra coaching...

The Bye will help our club equally.

I want to see Wilford get more involved as well. We paid way too much damn money for him (1 catch for 15 yards) but I think we can at this point can only use him in the red zone.

As much as the extra reps are going to help this team, I think the loss of momentum is going to hurt this team. We finally go out and spank a team in all aspects of the game then we have to wait for 2 weeks before we get to play again. Personally I don't think this bye could have come at a worse time.

Hopefully this coaching staff can keep it in the heads of our guys what they just did and give them some confidense going into the next game.
