Does this feel different?

I'm going to call you GBpackers10Fins for the w
in. Don't get me wrong I respect you but seems like a closet finz fan. I am ok with that.

On plays where he gets the ball out under 2.5 seconds his rating is 86. On a little over half his pass attempts. His completion percentage on plays where he has over 2.5 seconds is 55% but he has a 100.1 QB rating because he’s just chucking up bombs for big yards to receivers that shook their coverage after 4 seconds. That’s all he is. He suckq
When Tua holds the ball I get worried. If his first 2 to 3 reads aren't there get real worried. I haven't followed Lovea career because im a huge Dolphins fan but I know about Jaire Alexander. He is a pro bowl all pro

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and Finz for the win in in the frozen tundra! Will be watching from johnson city tn. Feels a little different with Tua not so reliant on the deep ball. Finz up

Alexander is out so no need to worry about him.

Winning this game starts up front. Want to beat good teams, win in the cold and down the stretch? Win in the trenches. Don’t let Jacobs run wild. Flip side protect your QB and open some holes. We’ve lost these games because we did not match the physicality of the other team. It’s that simple.

I have been a huge Dolphins fan⁰ for so 32 years. I am 43 now, when you are younger you have more optimism. After years of disappointment you relegate your self to worse case scenario. Thats where I will be tomorrow night. However I feel like the absence of Tua for a month has made this a different team. The run game has been stronger when it needs to be. Borderline dominate when Tua was out.
Now we are seein4a different offense then the Tyreek Hill show where he is catching long balls all season with Waddle as well. This short game passing they have implemented should help in the colder weather. I actually have hope for this game. We have the short game and explosive right now plus a running game. I would feel better is Austin Jackson was still part of this running game
Somehow though when Tua said he is ready to kill narratives with cold weather and good teams I felt ok. Like the running game and the short passing game is a huge change right now. I will be cautiously optimistic this week but if the pull this game off all narratives should die Thursday night. If we can win this one I think we can win them all is what I am saying. Buffalo really didn't have a answer at home vs our offense except some Raheem loosing the ball. Se for Arizona when they come to Miami if it wasn't a fumble Tua would have won.
Honestly my biggest worry is our defense. They where great against indy and the patriots 2 times and great against the Rams
I just feel like Tua is taking what he gets right now and it's a beautiful thing to see. Hope we pull this off Finz for the win ×4 makes for a great Thanksgiving.

I will say this:

The last time I felt this much tangible momentum was in 2005. The Dolphins started 3-7 in Saban’s first year. And then, they just started executing. They got their **** together and just started played solid complementary football with very few mistakes. They beat a couple bad teams. And then they beat a pretty good Chargers team on the road. They ended up ripping off six straight wins to end the season, just missing the playoffs.

Of course, they picked the wrong QB the next year and changed the course of the franchise forever, but that’s not the point.

This team is far more talented than that one. If Miami wins tonight, as Kyle Brandt said, Miami goes from “watch out!” to “watch the hell out!”

Tonite you will see what a real cohesive o line looks like

We need plays in the secondary to win

All of the great stuff you pointed out, except some offense against the Bills in Miami, was against trash teams...that is this team's M.O. for the past two years. Nobody denies they're fantastic against sub-500 teams, they've proven they are. They've also proven they **** the bed against 500+ teams...and in cold weather, its even worse. "Narrative" is a funny way of spelling "identity."

But yes, they have a great opportunity to turn the corner on that stuff and start a new trend, a trend of beating teams you're supposed to lose to, and at 4 degrees windchill, that would be an awesome win indeed. It would indicate this Dolphins team is on the rise and growing, that they're getting past their previous demons and actually trying to be a real contender instead of an elementary school bully beating up on weak kids, just to get punched in the face and cowered by a kid with some balls.

I want them to win this one BAD...I'll be watching the game with my brother-in-law who is in town from Milwaukee and a MASSIVE Green Bay fan. Would really make my Thanksgiving all the more special, like when we took out Dallas in the snow.

Never mind Wilis. What he’s doing with Love is incredible. Love sucks he is and so overrated. He’s basically doing in the NFL what Caleb Williams was doing at USC last year. He counts on splash plays that usually come after the play breaks down. I don’t see him doing well against our secondary.
I agree with you. Love is overrated. It's a big play or a bad one. He's probably going to throw 1-2 picks and that will be the deciding factor for this game.

Good observations.

There are a couple of things that make me feel optimistic. The short-yardage running game has been better this year. That is critical to keeping drives alive.

Although, the run game dipped with Ingold out.

The penalties are way down the last few games as well. Miami isn't digging its way out of 1st and 15 and 1st and 20 holes.

Offensively Miami can, at times, do it all as the OP pointed out.

Can the defense step it up in big games?

It’s probably just our fandom and it’s why we get pumped up for every season.

Since Tua came back, the Dolphins are 0-2 against the two teams with winning records and 3-0 against teams with losing records that are a combined 10 - 24. 🤷

As Tua and whole team are echoing, there’s a “narrative” that we can’t beat good teams or play in cold weather.

We get both tonight against the Packers so it’s time to change the narrative. Go Fins!

Also want to say that I feel like Lafleur is the better coach at this time the work.he did with Malik Wilis is diffe4the anything McDaniel did with his career backups.
Ironically Willis beat both Indy and Tennessee when he started. Miami not so much.
