Does this feel different?

I have been a huge Dolphins fan⁰ for so 32 years. I am 43 now, when you are younger you have more optimism. After years of disappointment you relegate your self to worse case scenario. Thats where I will be tomorrow night. However I feel like the absence of Tua for a month has made this a different team. The run game has been stronger when it needs to be. Borderline dominate when Tua was out.
Now we are seein4a different offense then the Tyreek Hill show where he is catching long balls all season with Waddle as well. This short game passing they have implemented should help in the colder weather. I actually have hope for this game. We have the short game and explosive right now plus a running game. I would feel better is Austin Jackson was still part of this running game
Somehow though when Tua said he is ready to kill narratives with cold weather and good teams I felt ok. Like the running game and the short passing game is a huge change right now. I will be cautiously optimistic this week but if the pull this game off all narratives should die Thursday night. If we can win this one I think we can win them all is what I am saying. Buffalo really didn't have a answer at home vs our offense except some Raheem loosing the ball. Se for Arizona when they come to Miami if it wasn't a fumble Tua would have won.
Honestly my biggest worry is our defense. They where great against indy and the patriots 2 times and great against the Rams
I just feel like Tua is taking what he gets right now and it's a beautiful thing to see. Hope we pull this off Finz for the win ×4 makes for a great Thanksgiving.
Thoughts?
No, it doesn't feel different. They are beating bad teams and losing to decent ones. Let's see what happens tonight

It's marginially different. Tua played well offensively at Buffalo. That's a huge step forward. That one step makes it marginally better than in the past seasons. Now he needs to be consistently good. He has not shown it. He played okay against the Rams, 23 points on the road against a sht Rams team is not great, not good, not consistently good. Year 5 tho, and still looking for competitiveness at top level.
Packers beat the Rams 24-19, we beat the Rams 23-19. Should be a close. If we win, defense will win it. That side of the ball is playing better, the front 4 specifically. Secondary is still sht in the middle of the field.

Yeah Tua is flexing right now, and backing it up with some hi level qb play, stuff that no one else is doing quite frankly.

He’s just got to remember his keys as to what gets him in trouble

Don’t drift, be aggressive in your movement in the pocket, step up in the pocket and do it at first sight of pressure, run a little bit.

I’m 100 percent sure we’re gonna get our teams best effort, this game will come down to defending the playmaking qb in Love, he’s very talented.

I want Mostert starting and settin the tone exactly how we came out against Buffalo

The whole world is watching and waiting for the dolphins to fold in the cold.

For the first time in a long time I feel like we’ll finally come out the way I believe this teams mindset has to be playing in this town.
This is my main concern for today….the Dolphins defense vs. Love and the Packers offense. I think our offense will be sufficient to win the game. Can the defense hold up its end of the bargain?

Feels the same to me unfortunately. As others have said, we're only beating bad teams right now. Four of our five wins were against teams in the bottom five of the league right now. And the Rams have the same record as we do. The defense folds when it faces any decent offense, and the running game gets stuffed in short yardage situations or deep in the red zone when teams don't have to worry about keeping the long pass in check. The only thing that has me encouraged right now is Jonnu Smith. If he can continue to play well, then he provides a much needed safety valve for Tua when defenses take away the inside routes to Tyreek and Waddle.

But we're not officially in December, so I will continue to hope.

I agree with these comments 100 percent. It's his team and he isn't trying or worried about Reek getting 2k
I did not like that 2k thing at all. Selfish and a distraction. To your OP, this shorter pass game is more sustainable for the offense as a whole. I can’t name a single “bombs away” team that ever won a SB. The Chargers never got there w Fouts those years, Marino’s team lost, NE w Moss lost - closest thing was Warner’s Rams but Faulk had 2,000 yards from scrimmage. Long drives, ball control wins championships. I’m more than fine if we keep this up w Hill and Waddle getting occasional deep plays. It’s just healthier and travels better too.

No such thing as bad teams in the nfl, we lost to the colts and titans, any given sunday

This is almost a must win for us. If we dont pull it off we have Detroit and Seattle up next. Those will be very tough games to win.
I love you man, but thinking a game is almost a must-win when your team is 8-3 is pretty ludicrous. Especially when on a forum for a 5-6 team. 🤣

In the back of my mind deep down there I'm a closet skeptic. I don't want to be, so I force positivity. For my mental health I try to live in the moment. More like my dogs who just live in the present/moment.
So in a way I'm conflicted if I'm honest but my positivity is winning. (I overcompensate probably)

I think we continue to kick ass.

Happy turkey day. Fins up

Winning this game starts up front. Want to beat good teams, win in the cold and down the stretch? Win in the trenches. Don’t let Jacobs run wild. Flip side protect your QB and open some holes. We’ve lost these games because we did not match the physicality of the other team. It’s that simple.
Great post. This is where the Dolphins have come up short most often to me as well. If they control Josh Jacobs, the Dolphins have a shot.

Phuck the narratives.

Who listens to that stupid shet anyways?

Think for yourself. Stop talking up the talking points of idiots. Do your own thinking. 🧐

Definitely. Started with Malik dropping the punt and went downhill from there. This is terrible right now
Also Tua and reek are way off. Maybe he should look at waddle alot more.
