I mean if you looked how crappy they played as a whole, and some of the players comments about how they werent into it, no enthusiasm, lack of Fire. I mean what more MOTIVATION DO THEY NEED , HOME OPENER, DIVISIONAL RIVAL, I DONT GET IT? HAS TO MAKE YOU WONDER!

yea i mean im really upset at the teams effort yesterday i felt like i was watching th 04 dolphins, and im glad they were booed of the field because they played at that low of a level...these guys have to realize that all the took in the offseason on how good this team was doesnt mean anything if they cant perform and before the season started all you would hear was how good the team was not only from fans but from the players, someone really needs to step it up and big time we still have 2 very winable games in the next two weeks that can help us to get set up for the rest of the season with a winning aproach until then however we really cant do much as fans but just complain at the low level of intensity but still suport our team

Is that a real question? I would like to see where you saw player comments stating they weren't into the game before I comment on that. Don't give up on these guys. They showed us last year that they can put together a winning streak. They have a new QB and coaches. It may take a little while for them to gel. Just chill out and give it some time. The season isn't over by a long shot. Look who else is 0-2....Carolina, Tampa Bay, Kansas City. They are no slouches. So our predictions of a 15-1 record are gone...oh well. As long as we make the playoffs anything can happen.

K.C. is going downhill from here. They have no Trent Green, Willie Roaf, or any other O-linemen that made the running game great last year. Plus their offense is being lead by Damon Huard.

True

(Glad I didn't draft Larry Johnson on my fantasy team.)

This is close to something that I find interesting. I don't think it's about caring to win. If you play in the NFL, you want to win. Even the Texans, and any other team in the NFL goes out to win every game. Confidence might be shot after starting the season off poor and no hopes of playoffs, but if players don't play hard, they're going to get hurt. The fight may not be there, but I assure you that in Week 2...it is for every team.

The question I would like to see raised, is does this team know how to win? That's the real question. Even with the wins at the end of the year last year, I don't know if this team really has the sense of knowing how to win games against key foes, or key divisional games. I think last year's streak taught them that the system works if you buy into it. I think these guys just need the idea of knowing how to win big games again. Zach and Jason knew how to on Dolphin teams past, even Chambers and McMichael to a degree. We have players on our team that have won big games with Kevin Carter, Keith Traylor, and some others. I just think they have to pull together, get a tough win against a big opponent to get the confidence that they can do it. I really expect the Dolphins to beat the Titans this next week. The Texans game will be very, very close against a hungry team that wants to win against it's old coach, and has a scheme that has stopped us in the past. But, if we can pull it out, we could head into NE 2-2 with another opportunity to do something special.

It wasn't for us.

A few of the players themselves admitted to being flat. And if you look at the way Buffalo's offensive and defensive lines carried the play early, it backs up those statements, since the first and primary indicator where you can see whether a team came to play or not is in the trenches.

Now I'm not saying they didn't care about winning, of course they did. But for some strange reason or another, the intensity just didn't match up, and wasn't nearly at the level it should have been.

shocked

i cannot believe they even bothered showing up.i have been a die hard fan since i was 5 yrs old and after what i saw yesterday i put my head down and could not believe what i watched it looked like the bad news bears played football.don't get me wrong i will continue to support them in every way but can someone tell me why they didn't pull daunte at half time..before the season opener espn had a power ranking of 6th in the nfl for the phins and i read some articals that said playoff spot if not father into the season they would go..and if he is not 100 % why not play joey or even give young marcus vick a shot they can't do any worse and let daunte heal a little longer don't wait until they are 0 and 6 then switch maybe they could win not and daunte later in the season when he is fresh.saban said today that he has not healed 100%..

I'm disgusted with the media. They have brainwashed everyone into thinking it's all about winning. Win, lose, or tie...I'm still a Dolfan. You should be proud of the team...I am.

They still make the playoffs. Don't worry. People will freak out after a terrible game. It's normal.

It's frustrating, yes, but we are not the ones playing the game! Plain and simple we just are supposed to be the "support" which as fans we are not doing well either! We are NOT the same 4-12 team that took the field two years ago, but everyone thinks that they know better than the coaches and players for that matter! I'm sure none of us is harder on those guys then themselves and the coaches...so please be patient and do your part as well! It will get better!!!

Yeah, other than ronnie it seemed like they had the "I get paid no matter what" attitude.

:sidelol: Good Lord, do you think this is freaking HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL? OF COURSE IT'S ABOUT WINNING! The media didn't have to convince anyone of that, the owners, coaches and players knew it already.
As for being "proud" of the team, what the hell have they done to be proud of? I'm ashamed for them.
