While it’s only been 2 games, overall, this has been playoff team type play. The key to winning in the NFL is consistent, smart, and aggressive play.

Has Miami turned the corner?

Is this two-decade-long losing run finally in the rearview mirror?

Fans won’t have a real gauge till near the end of the 2018 Season whether this 2-0 start is makeup on a pig or frog turned prince. And even then, it will take a few good seasons strung together to confirm if the franchise has truly turned over a new leaf.

No. It means that the Dolphins are winning the most winnable games on the schedule. Which is really good, because the back half of this schedule looks ****ing ridiculous right now.

You gotta figure, team will be favored at home vs the Jets, twice against Buffalo, tomorrow against the Raiders, probably at home vs the Lions unless something changes there quickly...

If Miami 'takes care of business' in those games, that's seven wins. That means the Dolphins need to find three more wins out there on the schedule. Chicago at home? Tough game, but winnable. New England at home? Gonna need it. Gonna need 5-1 in the division, folks. And then what? Gotta win in Indy or find a way to score points on that Jags defense. Gotta win a Thursday night road game somehow.

Cincinnati on the road doesn't look so hot for the team I saw in week two. Gonna need to figure out how to run the no huddle on the road or just plain be better at football.

No. The culture won't change until we're a consistent playoff team again. Now you make the playoffs 2 years out of 3 and chalk the year we didn't make it over Tannehill being hurt, and now you can start really considering it. By that point, Gase and the staff would get a lot more respect and confidence from the fans and media. By that point, Miami would roll with the same core of players who have a winning mentality since they are winning. They would know what it takes to win. They would know the system and buy into what the coaches are selling. There would be a positive buzz and not a nagging dark cloud that always seems to hover over this team.

But one week at a time. Starting 3-0 would be great, but they could easily finish 7-9 and then we're back to "Typical Dolphins."

I agree these wins mean nothing re culture change (a silly premise even if there has been one) but I am 180 degrees from you on schedule.

The hardest part of our schedule is FROMT LOADED. @jets, @NE,@Bengals and Chicago is our toughest stretch.

I look for a soft middle where we streak with one loss (2 max) and then a finish where we might go 2-2.

If we can get 2 or 3 wins in next 4 weeks, we're in great shape.

oh, and this presumes we fix our OL issue.

Winning today wouldn’t represent turning a corner.

But winning today and next week in New England to take a 2.5 game lead in the AFC East? That is turning a corner.

You can't microwave the changing of culture. It's week 3. They're making good strides, but consistency is what separates the great and very good teams from the mediocre. Any team can string together 2 inspired victories. I enjoy the wins, but let's see where they are towards the end of the season, how they perform if/when they make it to the playoffs, and how they respond next season after another draft. All the teams will have a full season worth of new film on our team. Tendencies will be discovered, and they'll need to continue to improve. Looking good so far though!

To me, it is the coaches that define the culture. I think Gase has made it crystal clear that you embrace his culture or you play for somebody else.

I don’t think NFL teams have defined cultures and identities to the degree they had in the past. Nothing like Hurricanes/Norte Dame Criminals and Catholics stuff.

Lol, play off team play?? After watching these first two games you've come to the conclusion we've played like a playoff team? You must have started drinking early today.

That being said, the culture has already changed. But doesnt mean we get anywhere with it this year. I think this is a great year with the right foundation to build off of. Another 1 to 3 years, then we will be playing "play off" caliber football

Beat new England at new England and then I'll talk about turning the corner.

I think for most people that's it. You obviously have to win today and then a win against NE on the road will definitely raise eyebrows.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. They need to win today.

No it means the fins won 3 winnable games - something we don't usually do.

Go beat Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay and Brady in New England and then we can talk about culture

The dolphins at least today look like the same inconsistent team that they have been for the last 10 years!

Gase isn't taking this team back to the playoffs with his garbage playcalling, and that POS DC he hired. Not unless we're lucky enough to have a cakewalk schedule that even Matt Moore can win with like in 2016.

Best case scenario for this team is to lose enough games to get him canned.
