We are letting Philbin go because usually the coaches are fired on the Monday after the last game of the season. Still holding out hope for Ireland though, should be gone by tomorrow. I would say Ross is giving himself 48 hours to calm down and then make the announcement.

I don't know who else is out there. Anyone with any ideas for GMs out there. And I don't want Polian or Pioli

Eh, I dont think it means anything. It's not like Ross is very conventional. We could see firings a month down the road even.

Im to the point were i want some changes and think we need some changes. But not good we havent donr anything yet. All is quiet from dolphins.

That would be completely retarded though, we need to get this sh*t done and move on before the best prospects are gone. I think Ross will be smarter than that

Coaches don't always get fired on the Monday after, most do, but not all. I remember the Titans fired Jeff Fisher the week of the Super Bowl.

I think Philbin is staying, but just because he didn't get the axe today doesn't guarantee he is back.

Im not convinced Ross is letting anyone go, Sherman included. Its laughable, and a testament to his blind and inept decision making, that he is happy enough with his team that he thinks people deserve to still walk into his building tomorrow (and so forth). He let Ireland WASTE over 200M of this money and is not holding Ireland responsible.

Here's what I think, and I could be completely wrong but here goes.

I think Ross is old. I think he does not have the time or energy for a GM hunt. At least he had JI to guide him on the HC spot that was tedious with Fisher and all. I just feel that Ross doesn't want to take the time to do this. He just wants to keep things the same without too much hassle.

That's how I see it.

Today on some radio show, not sure which one it was but think it was Fox sports radio, a dolphins fan called in to bitch slap ireland but then added that Philbin also needs to go and even Tannehill.

They cut him off and then stated how Philbin kept this team together and how from year two to three for QB's is the most critical point to get to the next level. They poo poo'd that idea big time. They agreed about Ireland but stated that changing the GM isnt going to affect this team as much as Philbin and Tannehill will going into the future.

This is probably the kind of thing Ross is hearing from people in the know with experience.

Yeah, I hope you are completely wrong

You guys are all idiots! The guy is one of the richest people in the world, you don't get that way by being senile or stupid. Where are you guys in life? That should answer your questions. You don't hire a head coach and instantly have a winning football team. I understand your frustration yesterday, but get a clue. Just to do one Miami to hire for GM? Who do you want for head coach? You we animals just wanted fire someone because you're angry. You have no clue as to how to run a football team. But your all authorities. No wonder the rest of the league thinks were a laughing stock, because of fans like you.

like most things, you can read several things into this. however...... .

this COULD be a sign IRELAND is going. ross may be finding out if his choice at GM want to keep philbin.

you dont fire him before finding out what your choice at gm wants.

hopefully, ireland is getting the boot and this is the case.

i kind of agree with the idea but the bad thing is Ireland messed up so bad on the Wheeler signing & the draft didnt look good either.

I feel like we should get a new OC to get Tannehill out of the box and his comfort level a little bit.
