Doesn't Sage deserve a mulligan for the Cleveland game? Sage has shown that he has what it takes to be an NFL QB. I guess the real question would be can he be consistent. The guy is cool, calm, and collected, has a big arm and is still pretty young. He came off the horible Cleveland game and performed great, that shows good mental toughness. What if we let him go, and he goes somewhere else and becomes a great QB. I would hate to have had him here all this time and never see if he could be something. The Titans and Patriots would be two great test for Sage.

You never judge a backup on the first game started. Usually you wait until the third due to the fact that he needs a few games to get his timing down

If he would be a good NFL starter some team would have picked him up in the 4 years he's been in the league, hes a good back up though and he has manged the game well in his 2 wins, I hope we keep him because we could use a back up like that, for our future QB.

Like a Bernie Kozar

If only he had a better attitude, and by that I mean looking and acting like he wanted to be the fn man. Sage just looks happy to be there. If only he he really wanted to be the best in the league, then maybe someone would give him a shot...

What if I spontaneously regenerated my spinal stem cells and could walk again? It's technically possible, and it would be wonderful, but I'm not planning my future based on that asumption.

Or until he throws the ball into the Gatorade bucket, at which point they spot it at the 50, 1st and 10!

Sorry ... don't mean to pile on. But with the Titans a shadow of their former selves and the Patriots playing to deperately avoid injury, I'm not sure these would be quality tests.

With the way the OL played in the Cleveland game, anybody would deserve a mulligan. But that doesn't mean Sage has proved anything yet. He may get his chance again next week. Anybody got a report on Gus' hand yet?

I like Sage a lot. He´s been a backup for so long and has proven that he can play. If he gets some playing time and gets comfortable I think he could be really good.

So who would you rather have as your new QB. Sage, Cullpepper, Donavin or Car. I like Sage. You guys are right in my mind about the Browns game. I think we are do for a diamond in the ruff QB. Remember Lucas and Huard. Not to mention Feidler, Greese, Feely, and Ferrotte.

For the record, the Pats didn't look like a team playing to do anything but re-establish themselves as an AFC powerhouse. The Bucs are a good team and we got BEAT DOWN by the Pats. If Sage can stand in the pocket and deliver the ball knowing that he's going to get drilled, that would go a long way towards proving himself.

There is a much higher likelyhood that Sage will come into his own than spontaneouly cell regeneration. Maybe not much, but Sage has a slight advantage. I would hate that we never took take the time to find out.

They may not be playing their best football, but they are still an NFL team and any given Sunday anything can happen. These teams are better or worse than Cleveland, and should be a good test.

the guys is a NFL starter, said it all along for the last two years, he will play somewhere and it better be here, we will be very sad if he becomes a good NFL starter for someone else

he deserves a chance.

gus has no upside. at least sage has upside.

we should start sage in the next two games.
