It won't let me download that one because of my ratio. It says:

In your particular case, both your ratio of 0.22 and your total uploaded of 3.3 GB imply a delay of 48 hours.

kinda off topic some, but maybe you pros can advise me.


I know I can take a video_ts dir and burn it to a disk..

But let's say for example I have two dvd's, with 2 shows on each. I want to take 1 show from one dvd and one from the other and put it on a dvd by theirself.

THeoretically I should be able to copy the vts files for each show into a video_ts folder, correct?

If so, then how or what software do I need to make the menu and burn the new video_ts to a dvd? thanks..t

I do it the way Max does it but here is another procedure you can try to join vob files and reduce chapters.

Unfortunately you may have got caught up in the rules of the site which are as follows.

Ok i have added the Ratio to Waiting Script....
At this time it's only showing the wait time you would have to wait if i was to add the final part of the script to the tracker.
This is a warning to all users who are not seeding and doing the share of the work to help the other users and the tracker as a whole.
Once this last section of code is added all users under the VIP member's class will have to wait 8,4,2,1 hours based on there ratio's.

The script is not yet live so as to help all users who have not been seeding to get the ratio's backup as high as they can before the script goes live.

1Gb and ratio < 0.50 = 8h
1.5Gb and ratio < 0.65 = 4h
2Gb and ratio < 0.80 = 2h
2.5Gb and ratio < 0.95 = 1h

Ratios at 1 and over 2.5Gb = Zero wait time

VIP ,Power Users , Uploaders ,Mods and Admin = Zero wait time

PLEASE SEED AND GET RATIO'S UP AND NOT HAVE TO WAIT.

The uploaders and main site users are getting the lastest releases on here quicker and quicker...why have to wait due to a bad ratio just help out and seed Please..

Yeah, i'm working on my ratio now. Should be up over 1 by the morning. I'm not downloading anything except the 93 boys game right now. I'm seeding the pats,browns and rams game. If Time Warner would just boost my upload speed I'd be alright. They already gave me 2 more mb of download speed so I'm at 5mb now.

No problem. If you're interested in doing the same thing while editing & adding a menu, I'd recommend "tmpenc dvd author" -- it's easy and free to download. It's a "trial" version, so you may to fiddle around with it a bit... :D

My favorite for DVD splitting (taking unwanted chapters out, splitting 2 shows into seperate DVD's etc.) is "DVD remake PRO". It is MUCH faster than Shrink for simply taking things out. It will also keep the ORIGIONAL menus. there are options where you can simply erase the button for features no longer on the disk. You can also combine 2 movies into one, and use BOTH origional menus. Here is an excellent tutorial: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_merge_full.php


However, I haven't figured out if there is an audio track removal option like Shrink has. Also, if your DVD file is still over the burning max, you will still need Shrink to well.... um... shrink it. :D But for simple removal of unwanted stuff it is easily the best. It only takes about 10 minutes for a file to be ready where Shrink takes at least 45 minutes minimum for my machine. (1Ghz 256RAM) Things might go much faster on better computers.

Oh, one last thing, make sure you get the PRO version. As for where to get it, I think there is a link on that tutorial page. Also saavy torrenters can find other "..bay" pages that might have links to it for a *ahem* discount.

Interesting.I will check that out.I am a newbee on the DVD stuff so I am still learning.

I have been looking for a commercial and unwanted DVD video editor without using the VirtualDub which bloats the size of the edited file.

Anyway Max is working with DVDs all the time so he is experienced.

See, I think I have the luxury of a nice machine. It takes about 12min to for me to "shrink" a 2hr dvd. I know some people have lots of problems with Shrink, tho...it's always been hassle-free for me.
