86 Playoffs
Dolphins 24 , Browns 21
The Dolphins are heavily favored in this playoff game but the Browns coached by Schottenheimer and QBd by Bernie Kosar stymie Dan Marino and the Marks Bros by playing 6 DBs and exerting rushing pressure on the QB.
The Browns take the lead and dominate the game until Shula changes tactics and starts gioing to the short game with short passes to Nat Moore,Tony Nathan and the TEs.After being down 21-3 in the 3rd quarter Moore finally scores a TD for the fins.
The momentum of the game is changed when Davenport breaks a long run for a TD, pancaking a defender in the process. That loosens up the Browns defense and the Dolphins rally to win the game.
The quality of the Video is average ,Audio is good.Commercials have not being edited out.

SEEDING
To make these torrents work it is very important that you stay on seeding for at least 24 hrs after you have finished particularly if you have a high speed (BW) connection .

As a bare minimum you should upload at least as much BW you have downloaded.

Its not a good idea to load to many torrents at the same time as our total bandwidth would be spread too thinly in order to do a good job of seeding.

What is a torrent ? Basically it a file sharing system. The way it works is that a fellow member records the game, edits the commercial and uploads the game to a torrent site.

To download a copy of the game You need to first install a client (Program). Then you open the torrent file (A text file which gives instructions to your client) and it will start loading the video file on your HD.Here is a link to the client we recommend.

.A very good media player that will read most codecs or incomplete vob files is the Videolan player. Here is the link.http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

The DVD size videos need special viewers such as WinDVD and PowerDVD.To watch the DVDfile on your PC just open the vob.files.

To burn a DVD try the following tips

They are already a playable DVD.
The structure of a 'DVD' is just 2 file folders, an AUDIO_TS and a VIDEO_TS, with all of your .IFO, VOB, etc files being in the VIDEO_TS folder & the AUDIO_TS empty. When you select a "DVD Video" option with Nero or some other software all it does is create those 2 folders & arrange your files in the one.

If you re-create that structure on your PC, then you can burn straight to DVD with no problems with any software you normally use

For more info about torrent technology read the following FAQs.

http://dessent.net/btfaq/

For those with a technical background
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bittorrent

We request that you roll back through the thread if you have any questions. The information you seek may have already been answered.

No torrent can be successful without the participation of encoders(Those who capture the video, encode and upload the torrents),seeders (Those who stay on after they finish loading to help out other members who are trying to finish) and leechers (A misnomer as they are also sharing their BW as they are trying to finish). If you are interested please post on this thread.

The torrents usually start slowly and build up downloading BW (bandwidth speed) as those who finish stay on to seed for those who have not finished. If done properly it has an snowballing effect.

If you are experiencing slow download speeds or you suspect you have Firewall issues to overcome you may want to forward your ports.Try the following procedures.(Only for PC literates)
http://www.portforward.com/help/pfprogression.htm also
http://p2p.weblogsinc.com/entry/0401842428674831/ Remember when you forward your ports you also have to find the place in your client software that specifies the port range it uses and make sure that it matches the port range you specify in the port forwarding section of your router config

To upload a torrent you first have to make a torrent file. You can use a program called Maketorrent 2.1 for this purpose.Link http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/maketorrent/index.phtml

Its a simple procedure. The most important information is the URL of the tracker you will be using.

FYI, almost got the library up. Its in testing phase ATM. We'll see how it goes with that. But unfortunately, Firefox doesn't support FTP function natively.

Sweet! Thanks for the link to the '86 game against the Browns. This is one of my favorite games.

I am so green with envy, Crunch. I can't imagine what it must have been like to be there.

This game has a special place in my heart as a fan. I was 15 years old. Just old enough to have an inkling of football strategy and tactics, and still young enough to have a certain awe for the players. At halftime, when the Dolphins were behind, I told myself to just wait, the Dolphins would be alright. Then when they fell behind by another touchdown in the 3rd quarter, I was feeling pretty down. We know what happened after that 3rd-quarter touchdown. This was the game that encouraged me to never give up hope. I can't wait to watch it for a second time.

I've tried signing up at the site...with the name bobo13...it's been 2 days and I still haven't received a confirmation e-mail.

Try a different browser or e-mail address.

Yeah, the only playoff victory I was ever disgusted with. The olphins (no "D") slack ways almost caught up with them and, as I predicted after watching that game, they weren't going to make it much further.

I'm getting an error message...
