Dolphins officials believe Ted Ginn Jr. is ready to break out and didn't feel a need to get him a lot of offensive touches in the preseason (five catches). ``Most of the great receivers really come on in the third year,'' he said.
What changed from last year? ``He's doing an excellent job of route-running,'' Chad Pennington said. ``It's one thing to be fast. It's another thing to create separation. Those are two totally different things. In this league, you don't create separation just by speed. He's learning that. When he's coming out of breaks, he's got that separation now. I'm really happy where he is.''

We have an idea from the first Pre-season game on how they will use him. Seems like coaches want to keep Teddy as secret as possible have a feeling he throws a pass or two this season

I agree with the coaches. Ginn will have a great year. He is going to break out more than this guy

1200+ yards for Ginn this season.

He will EASILY get 400 more yards than last season.

They only targeted him 7 times this preseason. He caught 5 of them for 71 yards, and 1 of the 2 incompletions was a pass interference call worth 39 yards.

Overall, rewarding a team with 110 yards on 7 at bats ain't a bad thing.

Didn't he also have end aroung for positive yardage. And we know the love that move at Davie.

I am a huge advocate of waiting until after this season (the third) to evaluate Ginn’s full potential. He better have a break out year or I will tell you one thing he will be broke out of a roster spot next year.

You're right, he did have an end-around that I believe gained 14 yards. So we should change that to 124 yards on 8 at-bats. That's 15.5 yards every time you look in Ted Ginn's direction.

Don't count them chickens until they hatch...or in this case...until he shows he can and has improved.

I understand where you are coming from, but the kid has shown an improvement in stats in back to back years. So if that is a sign he should play better this year. Miami knows exactly how to use him and I think he will defitnetly put up better stats.

That is exactly my point FinAtic8480 he must take that next step that so many 3 year receivers take or he will simply never achieve that true number 1 status.

Look back at some of my threads I totally want this kid to take that step this year and I was willing to wait three years before labeling him a “bust” or “slot” or whatever label you wan to tag him with.

Anyway you slice it, it is up to him to take that step now, the training wheels are off.

I really think going as high as he did, he should have made a bigger impact already. I'm still pulling for him and believe this could and should be his break out year.

A bigger impact with Cleo lemon and John Beck?
He was good for us last year he did what they asked of him..
I dont know how anyone expects him to of had 2 1000 yard seasons already
