Dolphins Adam Gase staff talk doesn't excite

Dolphins Adam Gase staff talk doesn't excite? Huh?

I'll hold judgement til everything's set in stone.
I'd like Schwartz or Austin as DC but have to see how everything plays out. Something tells me Austin, if available, will be hard to get, but maybe having Suh could persuade him.
If we go with Joseph, I don't think it'd be necessarily bad. Cinci has had a great secondary and they play hard (maybe a little Too hard lol).

OC is going to be an interesting pick, essentially a Philbin-type role, setting gameplans and quality control. I wonder if Gase likes Saunders, and if he'd stick around for that kind of job?

I'm tired of everyone's "hot takes" on this issue - the dude has yet to hire anybody save for retaining Darren Rizzi on special teams. Can the guy hire one person before we begin to evaluate his staff, rather than go upon rumors and hearsay?

They hired an OC with 2 years experience and no experience as a head coach at any level

Ross wanted to sign him on the first day as soon as he entered the facility

They also want to sign a DC with ZERO years as a DC in the NFL

Their goal is to make the Play-offs and win a Super Bowl

The Dolphins play in the same division as the best coach and best QB in the NFL.

Something does not add up with this equation.

What do you think Ross will do next season if they finish at 8-8 or worse?

Expecting them to do better than 8-8 is completely unreasonable.

They went from having multiple coaches with decades of NFL experience to having a total of about a decade of NFL experience cumulatively.

It will be exciting on draft day, the preseason will be very exciting

the regular season will be very exciting

I hope they win more than they lose,

but if they reach a point when they have enough losses to guarantee a losing season - AGAIN

then what will happen?

No one really knows if Gase is going to be successfull. However seems like many fans are expecting the worst. I guess you can't blame them considering how things have gone for the Dolphins over the past 15 years.

Seems more fans were excited at the start of the Parcells/Sparano, Philbin and even the Cameron regimes. Maybe this time the Dolphins will luck out and the fans will be pleasantly surprised.

I know I will continue to root for the Dolphins and just hope for the best.

Rumors are rumors.

Let him make his hires before criticizing.

Haha! Let the product get a chance to show what it's got BEFORE criticizing? What planet are you from? Because we all know the "more exciting" the better!

I say we wait till the end of his five year contract to have any opinion on anything. Wait out the "process" and see how the final product is before any critique whatsoever.

Why would anyone expect giant names to gravitate to Gase? It's going to be all young coaches looking to prove themselves. Dolphins are all in on a homerun or a strikeout.

So the writer criticizes what hasn't even happened yet? He even mentions it at the end of the article.

Clearly, we are allowed to critique but I would suggest when the season starts. But for crying out loud the guy's been the head coach for about 1 minute and doesn't even have 90% of his staff in place yet and we are already writing articles and criticizing?

Nothing...you think they will fire a coach after one season?

and yes, you have the best coach and the Smartest coach in our devision, so you go out and hire the one guy who appears to be smart enough to go toe to toe with him.

Gase has coached in the NFL for 11 years himself...

We had experienced guys...and we have been a pretty average to poor team during that time...

Give me guys that are hungry and wanting to prove themselves.
