as i sit & watch all the sports channels espn, nfln i was looking at playbook on nfln & it's really sad how everyone writes the phins off like their nothing. i hope they go out there monday night & shock the world, they act like the patriots are god or something yes their good but they can be beat.

phins are good and building, the pats are old and will be declining soon, might as well start that on monday

Not sure how accurate this is. I'd love to see a tally on the average age of their starters but I know they have a lot of young guys on Defense. Tom Brady just turned 34 and they will be a perennial contender so long as he's healthy. So you could be looking at realistically another 4-5 years of them being a pain in the neck. The one calming thing for Pats fans is BB(unlike our FO) understands the importance of the QB position and doesn't ignore it just because he has a HOF QB under center. Who knows what Mallet will turn into after holding the clipboard for a few years like Rodgers.

the only position with "age" is DL, have no idea where you get the notion that they will be declining..they have been restocking since 2007,, only about 6 left from then

That makes them a good team, but I don't believe they are as good as the so called experts say they are. They aren't in the same class as the Packers and Aaron Rogers has surpassed Brady. Rogers can do everything Brady can, BUT he has a stronger arm and is mobile.
It won't be that big an upset IMHO if the Phins beat them. They are not a complete team by any means. They should be respected but not held up on a pedestal. I hope the Phins come in with a swgger and punch this team in the mouth.

Restocking with what? Their young players haven't proven a thing except that they can't win a playoff game.

a lot of hype about shock the world on MNF, and while we are all mad at the negative theme aimed at miami, it doesn't ride or die monday.

I'm sure more than anyone, that these players want that W.

But I feel like all this new found optimism may take a monday if we lose. What I'm saying is don't lose faith. This will be a tough game, and if we lose it's not the end of the season or suck for luck. We still have a good chance at trying to make the playoffs.

You know, even in a loss to the Pats, our team can still earn more respect that what we have now- so long as it's highly competitive and winnable until the 4th quarter expires.

The Pats ARE aging, Tom Brady is already 34. How many years does he really have left? We don't know, he could have 2-3 years left, he could have 5-7 years left, but at age 34, nobody really knows how much Tom Brady has left in the tank. Ocho is 33, and will be 34 in January, Branch is 32. Most important is Tom Brady thought that is 34 though, and like I said, we really don't know how much the guy still has left. He is still performing like a top QB, which is expected. Injuries and hits start to catch up to you as you get older. Just look at Peyton Manning as a perfect example. Peyton is 35, and we are talking about his career may be over, and I never thought a guy that has never missed a game in his career would be pushing retirement because of a neck injury.

I think Miami can win and I think and hope we are really improved. If we should lose, or lose badly, some people on this board will become hysterical and give up on the season. I won't, though.
