Dolphins | Allen expected to sign quickly
Mon, 1 May 2006 10:47:21 -0700
Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins don't expect first-round pick DB Jason Allen to holdout. Historically, the team avoids players they feel may holdout and Allen's agent thinks the contract negotiations should go smoothly. "If we're both reasonable, chances are good [a contract] will get done," said Allen's agent Mitchell Frankel. "That doesn't mean the negotiation is from a weakness standpoint. But I don't see any reasons we can't have a contract on time.''
