Dolphins and Clay working on a contract extension

That's great and all, but I feel like they have been "working on an extension" for 5 months now.

Looks like Clay figured out what his value is and came back to the Dolphins to negotiate. Not a done deal obviously but the fact that we're communicating means he probably prefers to stay in Miami.

I'd give him 5 years for 25 mil. Take it or leave it

I highly doubt anyone offered him less than $6.5 million per season...I think I heard something along the lines of $7.5 million per season average from the Bills.

He's a $5-$6 mil TE in terms of log term money. If he wants more per season than that let him play at the Restricted Tag number for a year and re-visit next year.

The #Bills have been preparing to sign Charles Clay (transition) to an offer sheet, but #Dolphins can make that moot with an extension.

RB intrigue in PHI, but TE intrigue in MIA. #Dolphins have Jordan Cameron in, but are trying to work out a long-term deal with Charles Clay

Which is equal to about $6.8 or $6.9 from us when you account for the difference in state taxes.

Clay won't play on that transition tag number for one year when he's got long term contracts as an option. Security.

Yeah...I can see us offering a 4 year, $27 million contract with $9 - $12 million guaranteed.

I want Clay and Cameron. Imagine the possibilities. Clay can line up anywhere. Cameron can be that red zone threat
