I think regardless of what pessimism people, including analysts say, someone out there knows/feels like we are going to be good...Over the past 2 days I have seem more shows and press about the fins on NFL network than any other team. Yesterday they had the playoff game and then they did a piece on Marino. Today they interviewed Cam regarding the dolphins rookie symposium and showed some of training camp. We have been getting ALOT of good press over the past couple of days. Not that I care what these guys think good or bad, however, it does give me a better feeling of optimism...

I'm starting to really like the decisions that Cam/Randy make regarding personell. That is where we have been very weak. Saban and Wanny were simply awful as GMs and the trades involving high draft choices for below average players has set us back. But were coming back bigtime. Love how we got the big playmaker at #9 and still landed the QB of the future. That's some cool stuff. I freaked when we passed on Ginn but I'm cool with it now and my buddy was at camp and said he loved Becks mechanics, accuracy and quick-release. Cam will make him his project and bring him along just like he did with Rivers and Brees. I wish Trent Green was here already but Randy wants him for nothing and I assume that's how it will shake out. The D will be improved with Porter and the O will be far better simply because Mularkey isn't calling plays and Harrington is history. Addition by subtraction. Plus we have Ginn, Booker, Williams returning and some new blood on the o-line. I think Satele will open the season at center and Hadnot will go to left guard. Better days comin' soon.

Our defense will be better than last year.

Our offense should be better as well. Hopefully Trent gets here soon.

The weak spot I see isn't the O-line which is probably everyone else's concern.

My concern is our wideouts. Green is an accurate, productive QB, Cam is an offensive minded coach. We don't have good wide recievers. Chambers will have to really apply himself or we will have problems on offense.

The fact that they have called him out twice already before preseason even starts is not a good sign. I think Mueller may try and bring in some reciever help before the start fo the real season...

Hopefully Hagen has a big sophomore year...

Remember that we can't fix everything in one year........that would be great, but it won't happen. If we only win 5-6 games this year, BUT play hard and are in every game all the way to the end, don't get blown out then I feel we would have a successful season. Yes I would love to be in the playoffs, but I would also like to keep building the team. If we have an average season, and play more as a unit, then next draft we can fill some more holes, and then be really good. Find that one receiver we need, a safety, a great linemen, maybe a LB. It's not going to happen over night and we need to prepare ourselves for that. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see them win every game, but I would also like to see Cam build this team through the draft and become stronger every year and be a force like the Pat's.

Cam didn't have much for WR in San Diego and still did OK

That's encouraging I guess...

Who was their TE, though?

He had one of the 3 best TE's in the NFL, and for all of you homers Randy was never a top 5 TE....

From the media reports/analysis I have been reading, they either love us or hate us. The Sporting News gave our draft an A+, while others gave us an F. It is like there is no middle ground with us. I think our record might not be that improved from last year, but I think we are heading in the right direction and bringing in the right guys for the future. :)

I just have a feeling that we will beat last year's win total. With better play calling on offense and with either Cpep/Green at the helm. We are poised for a better season we might not get close to being a full playoff team but we will also be not too far off. Who knows with a couple of lucky breaks maybe we can.

The biggest unresolved position on this team is still our starting Qb. But, I think if that gets resolved with either Trent Green, or if magically CPep is healed and ready to go, then we should be able to win at least 8 games this year. If that's not resolved well, then we will likely be looking at another top 10 draft pick next year...

umm how can 5-6 wins be good for you? that makes no sense, 7 the least but im feeling 8-10 range

Sure I would love to have 8-10, I guess what I'm saying is I'm not letting myself get all pumped up for a quick turn around and then be disappointed!
If we beat the teams we should and are in every other game, then I feel we had a productive season, no matter what the record.
