Dolphins announce Tua is the quarterback for 2021

Certainly doesn't stop us from drafting a QB.

And it's essential we add talent to the position.

Talent and competition.

And beyond that --- it's not like Grier + Flo are taking any risk with a "statement" like that!
Maybe we started Tua knowing we also were banking in Houston dropping us a nice pick in the event where we didn't like what we saw. Benching him wasn't just a lesson taught to him. We would have benched him against Buffalo before he ended up tanking the game.

Tua doesn't yet understand what being open in the nfl is. Watching Mahommes start 1 game in his Rookie season in the last game wasnt exactly a precursor of his sophomore season throwint for 5k yards but you could see the mechanics being there. Tua looked very lost in some plays but there were other plays where our receivers didnt execute the route well. Mahommes did have a better task but he made plays under pressure a lot better thab tua did.
Yeah I agree Tua sucks

That's interesting. Let me ask you this - do you feel like Grier should keep his job if Tua doesn't pan out and Herbert ends up throwing 35 TD's every year?

Secondly, are you comfortable with Grier trading away that golden bundle for a veteran quarterback should he have to make up for the decision on Tua?

Lastly, are you comfortable with trading Tua to the Saints in exchange for a 3rd round pick? Dolphins need weapons and the fanbase just isn't going to buy into Tua. Do you feel that's fair for both Tua and Dolphin fans?
Nope trade to Jax for Lawrence u drive to Jax to watch Tua.

U can always find ol..but if u want make our ol strong. Than go get ol at 3... qb are hard to find in nfl draft..it more about luck.we all thought we hit home run w Tua..after one yr. We still dont know what we got.. be wisely at that number 3 pick.

I wonder if this announcement makes QB hungry teams less likely or more likely to trade with us for the 3rd pick?
No change really.

They'd need our spot to jump the teams ahead of them from taking their QB. Or to prevent someone behind them from jumping up to #3.

No need to worry about someone trading up to #4 (etc.) if you can trade with #3 (us).

right. they have confidence in Tua, 'he is our starter'. Just like he was our starter when he was regularly
pulled from the game.
im assuming if he plays a first half of 3 and outs our 'indisputable' starter will be regularly pulled next year too.
Getting pulled next yr is not good..that sign of needing new qb. we going need good back up. our schedule is going be tough next yr..we finish 2nd in afc east...

Best resource is to try and trade out of #3.

Get a future 1st and build the team organically. If Tua didn't develop anymore Miami will have a meh record and 2 1sts to trade up for whatever prospect there is next season.

Then Miami spend a year building the defense, and a year building the offense so then that next rookie qb won't have his rookie year with bottom barrel talent on offense.

I fully expect Tua to put in the work this offseason and come out swinging next year. Kid has the mind and the attitude to work his ass off. Ill be shocked if we dont see a better qb week 1.

wow. You compare KCs healthy high-powered offense, to our decimated offense and come to the conclusion it's Tua's fault? Ignorant.
