We have a good young coach who knows precisely what he is doing. We have the most talent on the roster that we've had in the past 20+ years, with depth at most positions. It's not going to be easy but there is a legitimate chance for the Dolphins to emerge as a good team. All the arrows are pointing up.

Not entirely accurate.

I have not spent money on any Dolphins merch before last season in the prior 7 years or so...

Not going to waste my hard-earned dollar bills on a **** product.
With all due respect, if you only support them when they are doing well, isn't that kind of the definition of fairweather?

Not at all. I watch every game from the comfort of my home whether they are playing like crap or winning. I purchased season tickets this year to actually see it in person. Am I fair weather?

I've heard a lot of non phins fans getting Landry jerseys. He's THAT good

Hey, if we were to take away the fairweather fans the Patriots would only have about 50 fans. So yeah, we'll take the fairweather fans ... we'll take all the fans that want. We'd like to have a bandwagon ... jump on. Not every fan needs to be as devout as we are, but the more fans we have of all type, the more media coverage we get, the more interest we generate, the more packed stadiums we have, the more community that makes the players invest in Miami not just as a job but as a duty.

More fans is a good thing in my book. I'm hoping that we expose a new generation of fans to a great Miami Dolphins era, and then they recruit more. I want Miami to unquestionably be a Dolphins town again ... not a Heat town, or a Heat/Hurricanes/LaLiga/Marlins/Jets town. No disrespect to the Hurricanes ... but when the friggin' JETS merchandise outsells Dolphins merchandise in South Florida ... that ticks me off. Don Shula owned this town. Dan Marino was the star of stars. We used to be awesome. I want that again. I want everyone in South Florida and beyond to embrace the Dolphins.

So I'm less interested in labelling types of fans and more interested in us growing more fans. Winning will do that. Gase is the type of guy people will rally behind. I'm happy to see this article and excited that it is only the beginning.

Hopefully, the Dolphins will have another dynasty coach in Gase. Hopefully the next generation of kids will all grow up as Dolphin fans ... because we're successful.

They've been cool since Bob Griese gave me a Dolphins hat when I was 8 years old...

Imagine the ranking if the team hadn't changed to the new unis. Top 5 I'd say.
