The Nolan and Sheridan hires have rejuvenated me today. I went to the Dolphins NFL website and began looking at their current roster. I had no idea just how young this club is. The three oldest players are Jason Taylor and Jason Ferguson who have 13 years in the league. Porter has 11. Ricky Williams and Will Allen have 9. After that Ayodele has 8. Then are half a dozen at 6 and most of the rest are under 5. This bodes well for our future. When you add this to the upcoming talent Miami will draft, this team has a potential to be good for quite a while.

By the way, Miami may already have in place their RB's to replace Ronnie and Ricky in a couple of years. Their replacements could be Hilliard and Sheets. We are beginning to see the potential in Hilliard and I can't wait to see Sheets get on the field.

Well considering that Porter, Fergie and Ayodele should not be back this team will get alot younger. Not sure what vets if any we will bring in but you know that most of the draft class will stick so this team will be one the youngest teams in the NFL for sure.

This team is going to get a lot younger in the months ahead considering some of those guys you mentioned will be or have the potential to be gone.

Last I heard Ferguson's rehab is going very well and he definitely wants to come back and play for the Dolphins.

Ferguson ranked 25th out of 87 DT's last year. Not bad at all for the old guy.

This team is also extremely overpriced and need to get rid of some of some unnecessary contracts before next season begins.

And yes, the Dolphins are very young. Our secondary suffered mainly because of youth. As our team gains more experience, players like Merling/Smith/Davis/Wake/Hartline, etc... will all get better and make this team deep playoff caliber.

I foresee Fergie coming back. Soliai is not the answer as a starting NT and they won't turn it over to a rookie. I have my doubts that Wilfork or Hampton leave their respective teams so I think the draft is where the solve this one.

Good luck getting him to go through a complete training camp

We are young?

DUH! (nothing personal)

I'm been saying that. That is a huge reason I see little logic in adding another rookie to our WR and DB corp.

We should be updating and replacing our old and worse guys, the ones that have little to no chance of improving.

Our linebackers.

overpriced? our salary cap number is one of the lowest in the league

Lol. Captain Obvious lol but yeah we are a young semi-talented team

This is correct. We are young, but right now we don't have a "surefire" stud on this team. We have some guys who have flashed some potential, but I haven't seen one guy that makes me think, "yeah, this guy is a sure deal". We need to get better, not necessarily, "younger".
