i can't believe my ears on 790 the ticket this morning home of your miami dolphins joe rose said the dolphins have to plant seeds and get younger another caller said he would take two losing seasons to get a superbowl ring then defo said the dolphins have no shot in 2007....my answer they are all full of it and i do not share the same thoughts do the dolphins have to get younger in some areas sure we all know this especially at the quarterback position that is why i hope they have the guts and balls to move up to number 2 and finally get a franchise qb either russell if raiders go wr and johnson at pick 1 or brady quinn with 9 plus picks we have the bullets to do so...and even a 2008 early pick if that's what it takes..who has a better combo not only in the afc east but in the nfl then ricky and ronnie both will go over 1,000 plus yards each the offensive line will be fine we still have hadnot, shelton, carey, alabi, toledo and the soon to be new miami dolphin hopefully guard matt lehr......couple all those guys with the upcoming draft that can land us the likes of central michigan's joe staley or even a sears from tennessee.remember we have the best in the biz in hud hudson houck is a hall of fame offensive line coach.yes we need to add more playmakers in free agency i'd like to add eric moulds a good vet to pick up on the fly who could help this year's team and a nice wr in the draft as well ..... david martin is a playmaking te he is way better then mcmike you will see the difference on the field this season..i promise you brett farve hated to lose him.its going to be great seeing trent green and daunte culpepper battling it out in training camp may the best man win and groom hopefully russell/quinn...green gives us the same deal gus did in 2005 he knows the system that cam runs from his days at indiana and the washington redskins i promise you he will spark our offense and light up the scoreboard i'd put my money on him beating out daunte especially if pepp can't get his movement back and a strong positive mind!.finally our defense is going to be great yes we need help in the secondary but help will come via the draft as well but with a strong pash rush with the likes of jt zach porter holliday crowder etc..that can cover up your secondary weakness.kicking game will be better as well with jay feely he wont miss 10 field goals like mr.mare in closing the dolphins will make the playoffs in 2007 they will win 10-11 games i wish porter hit saban instead now that would have been classic!:dolphins: GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, you really need to use punctuation, LOL.

I think the Fins will be much better than people think. I would not be surprised at all to see us win 10-11 games and make the playoffs.

Wow, that's the biggest run on sentence i've ever seen!

.....But yes, i agree. I think we are going to surprise many people next seaon.

While I wont say the Phins have no shot, I will say that they have a lot of work ahead of them and that the odds are against them.
We have a 1st year head coach. I'm hopeful Cameron is ready but until he proves it, he is still a big ?.
You say Ronnie and Ricky will both have over 1000 yds. Possible, but anyone that DEPENDS on Ricky Williams is a bit on the slow side.
Its very possible that we will not have the opportunity to draft Quinn/Russell. It would certainly require trading up and even though we might have the ammunition to pull off a trade, it still takes 2 to tango. If we cant find a trading partner willing to move down then we cant move up. Its quite possible that Quinn and Russell will go to some combination of Oakland, Detroit, or Cleveland.
If we do manage to move up to select a QB, then its gonna cost draft picks(if we go to #2 as you suggest-a LOT of picks), which will have a serious impact on how much upgrading at other positions we will be able to do via the draft.
Your post reads as if you consider Trent Green to already be a Dolphin. He's not yet,and may not ever be.
Lastly, even if all the Phin's moves work out for the best, remember that we aren't operating in a vaccuum. Other teams are striving to improve their talent as well. Some of those teams, such as NE, do not need nearly as much improvement as the Phins.

So, Im optimistic that we are on the right track. I think we will be much improved over last year. I HOPE we will make the playoffs. But I am nowhere near the point of being ready to declare that they WILL make the playoffs.

............yes folks, it's that time of year! Let the impatient, homer prognostication begin! Amazing given that we don't even know what our offense is gonna look like next season.

we'll prob resign Jeno and hopefully get Lehr but either way we have a very good idea of what our offense will look like next season. Only draftees and maybe a late FA signing could be left out.

That is quite the sentence!! Interesting suggestion on Moulds. I think you are right on there. He would be a good playmaker for the phins and as for the slow guy, If Ricky plays he will produce, more than most backs in the league. The only time he has not is when he hasn't played and with Ronnie having more experience now and a better blocking back we will have a very formidable backfield. If we don't settle the QB thing this year I want Colt Brennen next year.:cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude: :cooldude:

C-Pep? According to you maybe............ At this point you'd be naive to even annoint him the starter with the Trent Green talks currently in progress and the possibility of moving up in the draft. Give it up already, you're holding too tight. C-Pep has yet to get the nod from Cameron.........that's called a question mark chief.......besides, you don't even know where the dude is at health-wise with his troublesome knee.

We don't know if Shelton will being playing Guard or Left Tackle.........we might even be drafting a rookie to man one or both of those positions. Lehr hasn't signed (I don't know why you even bothered listing him, that was just stupid).

TE David Martin is a guy who can barely stay on the field. We don't know the status of Ricky. We have no proven slot reciever. Can Schlesh stay healthy?

Geez...........need I go on?

Save the prognistication for the idiot sportswriters. Sit back and enjoy this team redefine itself and stop it with the premature playoff talk. You're making the stakes too high for yourself. And that's why you guys get so disappointed in the end.

I have serious doubts about the playoffs. This team came in last place in the division and so far only one position is obviously better than last year's, and that's OLB. Our WR group has been lessened, as well as our defensive line. And the Patriots have become much better than last year. Not to mention a new head coach who we don't know much about and the players have to get used to. I'd say in two years the Dolphins will make the playoffs and be serious contenders, but no playoffs this coming year or the year after.

While I am of the mindset to wait at least until training camp to see what our team is going to consist of, but you should let him have his opinion. I am glad that he has confidence and faith in our team to do something special this year. Stop calling people stupid and just ignore the post if you don't agree with his opinion. Who are you to say who is naive and who is just hopeful?Man, people like you upset me. I hope we make the playoffs, I believe that there is not much we have to change to be there either. Are you gonna tell me I am stupid or naive to think that this team is actually a good team?

GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!

P.S. To those who have hope and believe we can make the playoffs this year, please keep posting and stay positive.

You forgot Kelly Cambell at WR, he may make more of a impact then anyone else we pick up this year..I just hope he's finally laid the leg problems to rest and can move on with his carreer in football, the dude is super fast and has pretty decent hands.

Not again!!! This is like a broken record. Every year someone puts it out there that we are going to be playoff bound or super bowl bound. Let's wait until we draft the players and then after mini camp. Then after a few pre-season games we can then make that assessment. Call me practical..go figure.

Preferably not.
