I'm tired of reading all these trade possibilities....the dolphins aren't that close to a SUPERBOWL caliber team...which is what teams of that caliber do when they are one piece away from goin far...meaning the last piece...this team has a lot more pressing needs than a WR at this point...our defense is incomplete and is our offensive line...so stop trying t o reach for a WR and give the guys we got a chance and let them develop ...FinsUp

Meh, if people want to hope for a WR, let them. It's not like their "trying to reach for a WR" is actually going to affect what the team does. If the threads bother you don't read them or don't visit FH for a while.

I don't mean to be a jerk, I just don't like it when fans tell other fans what to wish for or not. If some fans get their kicks from wishing for a WR, let them. We're all phinfans and while we may have different ideas for what the team should do, at the end of the day we all dream the same Superbowl dreams. Well, except for some of us, who'd rather dream about posting how right they were.

Teams trade for parts they need all the time, even when they are well aware that they are not headed to the Super Bowl. The team is still a business and needs to be competitive to get butts in seats. The team can't stop trying whatever it can to improve just because it's not close enough to being the best in the NFL.

big time wr is one of the pieces we need to get to a super bowl level so IF you can add a big time talent, in ANY position, YOU DO IT! expecially if its a need and right now, its a BIG need considering we are a passing team.

this is the dolphins problem. there has been a whole lot of TALK about finding talent under every rock, but, the finz seem to find more reasons to not bring in real talent than to find ways to do it, be it the draft [which i STILL say was bad] or in the free agent pool.

you have to give up to get the REAL talent. and i am ok with that as long as the talent is there and its not to rediculous. and i feel a #1 and a following years #3 would get it done, or 2 #2's and a 5th.

wallace is young, extremely fast, has good hands and has nfl experiance. you mean to tell me if the draft came up and we drafted this kind of wr in the first, you would gripe? we would still have the rest of the draft AND free agency!

i am tired of spending our money on multiple fat guards and cast offs and journeyman. i want REAL talent on this team and the finz are going to have to give it up for a while to get the players we need.

hasnt the get 'em on the cheap and multiple 7th rounders strategy played out?

OP knows everything!!! Dolphins Should keep this team Exactly the same for the next 10 years no moves no FA Don't even sign Draft picks.... That's how you build a team!

If Hartline is not able to start the season then there will be trouble, With Chad out of the picture time for the up and comers like Wallace , and others to step up. Still a few WR left on the market, Plexco being the best option if the FO feels they need to look outside.

Pick up a free agent if you can but do not trade draft picks for wallace unless you can get an amazing deal, OP is correct this team is not SB bound this year with or without wallace, too many holes to fill #1 WR is just one of them.

Another diva at WR like Wallace is the last thing this team needs. If we're just gonna give away draft picks for another receiver like that then we should've just kept Marshall. I'm all for strengthening at the position but there are plenty of other decent players that we can get to step up as a #1 without giving away too much (both in terms of draft picks and money).

I dont think we need another WR, but I think the idea is that a veteran can help the younger WR's and rookie QB, not take us to the Super Bowl

how is mike wallace a diva? i dont see parading himself in games. he's like victor cruz

I've been a zealot about acquiring a #1 WR somehow, but after seeing our D get shredded because we've NEVER addressed the glaring hole at safety that's been there for 6-7 years, at least, it's obvious that this team will be lucky to win 6 games. Our only pass-rusher gets crushed in the run-game, and our interior line, which is supposed to be our strongest element of the whole franchise, is really only mediocre at best. We're just not a talented team, and it hurts to admit it. Our O-line still can't blow anyone off the line with consistency, and our new right tackle exhibited all the characteristics that were the knocks against him prior to the draft. He's small and weak and his quickness doesn't make up for it enough. I'm not sure if the weightroom can change a mindset. If he can perfect his technique then you're still gonna have to be very creative in your playcalling to utilize his assets and hide his liabilities. If you need a 3rd and 1 converted though, he's not your guy.
Getting back to WR, I think there are enough guys in our rotation to make plays late in the game when you're losing 28-3 and Tannehill can score some yards and points in garbage time. We're gonna be in garbage time a lot, as our D couldn't stop a Lingerie League team.
