I've been a zealot about acquiring a #1 WR somehow, but after seeing our D get shredded because we've NEVER addressed the glaring hole at safety that's been there for 6-7 years, at least, it's obvious that this team will be lucky to win 6 games. Our only pass-rusher gets crushed in the run-game, and our interior line, which is supposed to be our strongest element of the whole franchise, is really only mediocre at best. We're just not a talented team, and it hurts to admit it. Our O-line still can't blow anyone off the line with consistency, and our new right tackle exhibited all the characteristics that were the knocks against him prior to the draft. He's small and weak and his quickness doesn't make up for it enough. I'm not sure if the weightroom can change a mindset. If he can perfect his technique then you're still gonna have to be very creative in your playcalling to utilize his assets and hide his liabilities. If you need a 3rd and 1 converted though, he's not your guy.
Getting back to WR, I think there are enough guys in our rotation to make plays late in the game when you're losing 28-3 and Tannehill can score some yards and points in garbage time. We're gonna be in garbage time a lot, as our D couldn't stop a Lingerie League team.
