Terry McCormick, of the Nashville City Paper, reports Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese resigned Friday, Jan. 5, after 13 seasons in that role with the organization. "Today I informed the Titans that I will be offering my resignation, effective immediately," Reese said in a statement released by the team. "Initially, I had hopes of signing a contract extension and staying with the Titans for many more years, but it became apparent to me over the last several months that that would be difficult. Rather than drag out a process that would probably end up with us going our separate ways, the right thing to do is to cut ties now and let the Titans move on and me as well." Reese could be a candidate to fill a personnel role with the Miami Dolphins.

Reese would be a great pick up.

Here's another tidbit from SI:

The Browns have requested permission from Miami to interview Jason Garrett for the position of offensive coordinator, according to a source with the Dolphins. It's the first hard evidence they intend to replace Jeff Davidson, who might return to coach the offensive line full time.

Im hoping to keep J Garrett as on OC, Im sure he can do a better job than what mularkey did this year.

Man I hope Garrett doesnt leave...I think he would do a good job here in a larger role. Promote him already!

Garrett??....I can't say I've been impressed with our QB's performance under his coaching. You guys actually want to promote this guy to OC???...

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I like the Reese tidbit and I'm all for successful offensive coordinators interviewing. I don't care for another defensive minded HC.
