Now I know we dont know who all the starters are gonna be but we have a pretty good idea. I'm really excited about this game - it really is an 'acid test'

I think the Steelers will just shade it, but not by much. I think the Dolphins will play some nice 'ball and get some respect from the nation.

What do you guys think will happen?

i know there are a ton of what ifs , but regardless i think we can take this one 27-20 Mia Victory

if big ben is himself it should be close but if not it wont be but eitherway im takin the fins

I'm bad when it comes to predictions related to the Dolphins. My bias always gets to me. I did a pro football pick em last year and I chose the Dolphins to win all 16 weeks

My prediction: The Dolphins win in a close one, 21-17 :D

I stand by the fact that the Steelers may have been SuperBowl champs, but they weren't the best team in the NFL. They beat a Carson Palmerless Bengals, I'm still trying to figure out how the beat the Colts, don't get me started on the bad calls for the next two games. They were the fourth best team in the AFC at best, and I don't think they got any better. Unless I the Dolphins are entirely too overrated the preseason, I don't see how we could lose. They should come in focused, confident and ready.

Dolphins '06, going after the one for the middle finger!!

it will be a tough game.i think it will come down to our defense

Asking this on a Dolphins site is obviously going to get you biased answers. I hope that no one gets hurt on either side, but I don't see a new secondary for the Phins holding up a whole game against the very balanced Steelers. On the flip side, I don't see the phins offense being that in sync early in the year and the Steeler D is a monster. I don't see a blow out because the Steelers don't play that way, but neither do I see it as coming down to the wire.

As I've said in another post, I'm glad this game is happening early, because the Steelers would have more problems with the Phins later in the season when things start to really come together on the offense and the secondary.

Flame away if you like but I gave a fair balanced reply unlike some on here.

Agreed - If we can slow down their running game then we are in with a shout.

If daunte starts, he still wont know the sytem enough or his recievers, whereas Ben KNOWS his system and recievers.

If the game was further down the stretch, then i would pick us. But homefield and it being the opener points me in the Steelers direction - not that I'm happy about that!

Good call my friend! Thats the way I see it too.

I think we have too many new pieces, to come storming out the gates and beat the Steelers. Although we can always hope.

the same thing people said last year about denver. I dont think the fact that our secondary is new will play a big factor in sabans system. I also think the offense will be as ready for this game as it was last year. I think the final score will be 20-17 steelers. the only reason i have miami losing is because the game is in Pittsburgh. dont be confused by my steelers perdiction. miami is the better team and will prove it if they meet in the playoffs. and im not counting miami out. i think they can win this game.
