I really wish he would change his jersey #. The Ghost of Christmas past(Sammie Smith) may have cursed it.:nailbiting

Depending on whom you asked, Kalen Ballage either had a 50-plus-yard touchdown run Saturday or was stopped at the line of scrimmage.
It was the Dolphins’ first padded practice of the year, and Balllage busted through the line and could not be caught. Up for debate: Whether defensive end Cameron Malveaux would have tackled the rookie before the run really began, if allowed to.
Whatever the truth, Ballage flashed real ability on the run, and led many to question again how he was the 12th running back selected in April’s draft.

Should be more concerned that he's wearing Daniel Thomas' old number than Sammie Smith.

I liked the pic as well. Hope he gets a real chance to play but I like Drake and Gore so at least for the moment we're set at RB

I think he can be used on 3rd down some early on. It's just hard to take Gore or Drake off the field for him.

It’s rare that 3 backs stay healthy in a season. Somebody playin more and less than you think.

Not wanting to wish misfortune on him, but my money is on Drake. At Alabama he lost 9 games to a broken and dislocated ankle in 2014, 2 more lost to a right arm fracture in 2015 and a concussion (which didn't claim any games). His NFL stint has been comparatively quiet, though Drake did lose 3 weeks of 2016 training camp to a hamstring strain and a week of 2017 camp to a concussion. With the increased workload this season, I think the odds of him getting through the season without missing games is relatively low. Not hating on the guy because I think he has great potential, but past performance is usually indicative of future results.

I watched it. Td. And effortless. Dude is going to be a monster.

Ballage is a tweaked hamstring away from 10-15 touches a game. He has to be ready so these early reports are encouraging.

Great to hear, but I need to see it when real bullets are flying
