John Beck for RB Chris Perry straight up. Bengals are ready to close the door on Perry just as the Dolphins are with Beck. Bengals need a back up quarterback behind Carson Palmer and Perry , who has been disappointing as a pro reminds me of a poor mans version of Ronnie Brown at 6 feet and 220 pounds.

Perry could give the Dolphins some depth at RB and if he fails it wouldn't have cost us much. Perry has as much of a chance at turning his career around as most late round running backs have of making an impact in the league.

This seems to be a more realistic trade senerio than Beck for a 4th or 5th round pick.

I would also entertain drafting someone like Curtis Painter in the 6th or 7th round to compete with a veteran such as Patrick Ramsey or Charlie Batch for the #3 quarterback. The hard part is getting a veteran QB who has the talent to be a #2 on some teams to accept being a #3 here.

Mmmm, no thanks. I think Beck could be part of a package deal on draft day, we have Ronnie, Ricky and Patrick and we have Lex Hillard still on the practice squad, we're fine for now. Besides the Dolphins will probably add another RB on draft day. Beck is a nice to have he has just as much knowledge of this system as Pennington and Henne. You never know how camp and pre season turn out, maybe Beck plays better than Henne. I don't think anyone here has a crystal ball and tell what the future holds.

We are pretty good at the RB position. Beck will most likely go for a 7th, but at this point he haas no suitors.

I say no, plus I hope Beck stays as well, he was a 2nd rounder when he was drafted, I would hope he's worth more than a 7th round pick. I think Becks future will be as a backup. If he has no interest from other teams that shows he's not starting QB material.

Perry has been very fragile player over his years. Parcells doesn't like players who get hurt often.

Dude, Chris Perry sux. Cedric Benson made him look like a fool! Keep that loser away from Miami!

why would you as a gm make that trade? the team is already set at running back

We still have Cobbs too as I recall. With Ronnie and Ricky I can't see why we need a rb. Granted Ricky is getting alittle old.

I would much rather trade John Beck for a draft pick or a position of need like OLB/CB. Trading a player for a position on the roster that is our deepest position doesn't make much sense.

The Bengals signed JT O'sullivan in free agency, so not really sure why they would need to trade for Beck.

The Bengals have a backup in the dude who replaced Palmer last year.

Fitzpatrick was signed by the Bills.

He took his Harvard Education to Buffalo to try to use cloning to split it into a two horse town.
