Wright is a 3-4 NT if he comes back, we got R Wright for DE, Carter taht can play DT and DE as Wright can himself (Rod), roth at DE and JT. if anyone we need a DE ala Jamaal Anderson/G. Adams. you dont help ur transformation if you dont have the personell once again. we ran 4-3 a lot b/c we dont have the Lbs that put pressure on the QB we have slow as **** LB's and useless specimens ala Stragan and Adams.

You are absolutely right. Our defense was not built for the 3-4 when Saban took over. It was going to take a few years for the transition to be completed. This is something that can't be rushed because it takes time to gather the right personnel. The main thing that keeps us from going 3-4 all out, is because of our superstar and my favorite player, Jason Taylor. He is a true 4-3 DE, he is really not fit for a 3-4 OLB. He can rush the passer better than anyone, but he is a liability in pass coverage, and if you don't believe me, then go back and watch the Colts game. Taylor was badly burnt on one TD, and he was beaten again for another big completion that kept a critical drive going. It's not really his fault, because pass coverage is something he should not be doing, but that is going to happen sometimes since we run this "hybrid" 3-4 defense. We will not be a real 3-4 defense until J.T. retires and I hope that is no time soon because he is the best defensive player in the league.
