Dolphins Biggest Remaining Need - Am I Missing Something?

There are only 4 Dlinemen on the team. Miami needs bodies. Zack Sieler and the 3 rookies. Hence the need for additional DE's for the rotation. Last I checked Miami has 10 CB's on the roster. They have bodies but no star power.
Watch them pay more for a guy than they could have had Calais Campbell for.

The biggest need, for me, is a head coach with a killer instinct. I want to see McDaniel ratchet up the intensity with a do or die attitude and stop the ***** footin around. Are we going to have a ground and pound running game so Tua can run play action? Okay, then let's ram that thing down their throat and make the defense cry for their mama! **** the country club. Let's dominate and win some football games!
I see McDaniel changing.
I see his play calling improving.
I see bigger players coming on board, though that may or may not be due to McDaniel.

I see the direction of the team changing from naked speed to a more balanced team; which I feel is improvement.

How much is McDaniel changing?

I don't know - but I do know that the hardest thing for a person to do is to change themselves, which is what I see happening with McDaniel. I'm not referring to his "social skills" or speech making, I referring to how he plans and plays football as a HC!

I feel this year the Dolphins performance as a team may fool a lot of posters.

I feel that we have a better, more balanced team Offensively and Defensively than last year. This should be the year that our coaching staff shows it has improved by winning more games near the end of the season due to better game plans and coaching.

Time will pass - will you? - LOL

5 technically 6 if you count Matt Dickerson idk if he makes the team but was on the team last year didn’t play much though. Benito jones/Grant/philips/sieler and Biggers are the rest.

Not that black and white though. They run a hybrid system who will lead to 4 down linemen in which Phillips/chubb/chop will all alternate on the line.

As of now they are similar to last year in which Grant will take Campbell’s snaps and Chubb will take ogbah’s snaps who mostly played as a down DE. Phillips and Biggers will alternate for Deshawn Hand’s snaps who we lost. Phillips helps out and takes some from chop so he can play more of the outside role.

Don’t see them adding anyone else, I don’t think Weaver wants the smaller 3-4 pure edges that are around 280. Seems like he wants to go big.

Sign Clowney yesterday! As feeble as Chubb and Phillips are, get a dude who at least can stay on the field for half the year.

Agree with Chubb being the BIG end in some looks, as he is around 270lbs. What about Grayson Murphy as a backup for that role?

Don’t know much about him to be honest but like I said I really think weaver wants to go larger when running 3-4. When we go 4-3 that’s when chop/phillips/chubb will play more on the line. Would like one more edge rusher like those 3 but going to be tough to find, hopefully someone kike Kamara develops come year 2

clowney seems to have been pretty injury prone too, hasn't he? anyway, from my perspective seems like CB and safety are still the biggest need, along with some other stuff. we cannot solve for all of this and there will be some big roster holes
