We've all learned it isn't wise to count out the Patriots, and looking at their schedule they'll still be tough to beat. However, when you look at the individual units of the AFC the only areas that the Patriots can boast of having the other teams beat is quarterback and linebacker.

With their off season moves what order would you rate the following AFC east units:

QB:
RB:
WR/TE:
OL:

DL:
LB:
DB:

This has been the story every offseason for 5 years. I'll believe it when I see it.

Just trying to see how others rate Buffalo's, New York's and Miami's running backs, receivers, O-Line, D-Line and secondary in comparison with New England's.

QB: NE/MIA/BUF/NY
RB: BUF/MIA/NE/NY
WR/TE: NY/NE/MIA/BUF *
OL: NY/NE/BUF/MIA

DL: NY/BUF/MIA/NE *
LB: NY/BUF/NE/MIA
DB: NY/NE/BUF/MIA

*WR/TE & DL were both hard to rank, IMO. New York picking up Marshall and Devin Smith was big, but it's hard to discount what Gronk and Clay (along with Sammy Watkins) will do for their teams. I couldn't honestly put us last and if Tannehill progresses and the unit comes together, we can easily be the best by end of the season.
And between the Jets, Bills, and Fins, there are three of the studliest defensive lines that I can recall in the division going back for decades. I'm hoping we gel and get some linebacking help. We might have the best DL but it's hard to say with the Jets possibly bring the best player in the draft off the bench and Buffalo pointing Mario at us for more fun and games.

Yup we got better, but so did the division and the team around Brady is really strong + young

One of the Vegas sports books lists the Pats as 4-9 favorites to win the division. The Dolphins are next at 4-1, the Bills at 5-1 and the Jets at 9-1. No other division has odds as one sided as that.

This has been the story every offseason for 5 years. I'll believe it when I see it.

It shows the importance of a good QB. The Phins over the last 10yrs of the Marino yrs were really a 6-8 win team (no running game and average defense).
Marino kept them in contention for all but a handful of those yrs. Much of those yrs came when the rules were less QB friendly and did not favor the passing game like they do now. Guys like Welker and Edelman would have been role players in those yrs and could not have played bump and run with the likes of Lester Hayes, Mike Haynes, Kevin Ross etc.
The Pats have the least impressive roster in the division when you remove Brady.

Sure its close, I'll take it seriously when Brady retires...

QB: Pats, Phins, Bills, Jets
RB: Bills, Phins, Pats, Jets
WR/TE: Phins, Jets, Bills, Pats
OL: Pats, Phins, Bills, Jets

DL: Bills, Phins Jets, Pats
LB: Pats, Jets, Bills, Phins
DB: Jets, Phins, Bills, Pats

Thoughts: Many of these, the difference in rankings is fractional...Some may think I am putting the phins too high on these, **** it...I am a fan. I also think the Dolphins roster is very talented...significantly more so then in the past.

If we sign Collins, I think our OL becomes best in the division. I think then we can unseat the Pats.
