The following are excerpts of qoutes made by the Bengal fan club:

The Bengals offense last year needed time to get everyone on the same page and now is in position to be a top 10 offense. Even with Palmer being added, the playmakers are still the same and the coordinator is the same for several years now. Now the Deffense needs to make those same strides with consistency and improvement week to week. They are going to look a lot better against a horrible offense in the Dolphins...especially if our home town gets the Jungle Roaring. Remember how Marvin says it: you cannot get too high or too low after each game. Relax, the deffense will improve.

Great post LevelFalcon! I totally agree. All is not lost here. Just wait until Simmons and O'Neal return and Thornton is healthy, the defense will improve greatly. The Miami offense, here at home, is just what the doctor ordered.
Go Bengals!!!!

I am viewing the Dolphins game as a game that will be very telling for a multitude of reasons. I find it laughable the absurd comments and questions by the talking heads on TV. I heard the question posed on ESPN the other day, Will the Dolphins go winless?
Is that stupid or what. I know that the Dolphins have had a rough offseason with the Williams fiasco, Boston injury, etc. but this team has, 1. a pretty stiff defense still, they kept McNair in check this past week. A good test for Carson. 2. While there is question about who is replacing Williams, Booker is a nice receiver, who while not the stretch receiver of Boston, is a solid receiver who could give the secondary fits. Opposite Chambers, who nobody on the Bengals can run with, could be a long day.

We are going to absolutely punk the Dolphins on Sunday night.

Teams that lose on the road almost always win at home the following week. The defensive stats at home will be much better than our defensive stats on the road. At the end of this season, we'll add up our defensive performances at home & add up the road performances & i promise that it will look like 2 different teams.

After that performance our defense will be stoked. Our offense will be ready & we'll beat the fish by 2 touchdowns.

Can you say beeitch slap!!!!?

Take it to the bank.

I can't believe they're looking forward of the return of Deltha O'Neal. That guy's been burned more than Ricky Williams' bong resin.

Doesn't sound too unreasonable to me.

Also, you really think BB do anything to get players up??

At least they know that nobody on their team can stay with Chambers...Too bad Dave probably doesn't know it.....jk......But we really need to take advantage of those mismatches....They can't cover Chambers...SO start off by throwing one deep...Caught or not, they're gonna have to back off..That should open things up.

Ah the obvious is sometimes hidden from a quality HC like our Wanndstedt.:shakeno:

Agreed. If they are looking to that as a saving point for their defense, they are in real trouble. This is a guy who was converted to wide receiver in Denver because he couldn't cut it at corner (beat out by household names like Walls and Herndon). His failure is a big reason the Broncos had to trade their starting running back for a corner.

Well, he was certainly in Shanahans doghouse, and its hard to get out of that. Marvin and Co. hope he makes a return to his pro-bowl form of a few years ago in thier system. The guy may have just needed a change of scenery. We will see....

Deltha O'neal??? That's the best that they can come up with to stop Chambers, Booker, and Mcmichael. :roflmao: :roflmao:

Thank you, thank you, I'm here all week. Be sure to tip your waitress!

Unfortunately his "Pro-bowl form" was a couple of good games picking off multiple passes which led to him being voted in purely on his interception total. The guy has never gotten his head in the game consistently and has always been suspect. I have no ill will towards the Broncos, Bengals or O'Neal but the facts are, he is very unlikely to become a premier player for you. By the way, good luck to you guys in every other game this year. Johnson, Palmer and I think Perry down the road will make this a very exciting team to watch.

im not saying our secondary is great, but feeley isnt a great QB so all we need is a decent secondary to stop him. O'Neal isnt a guy thats gonna shut someone down like booker but he'll get his hands in there and hopefully pick one off.
