Greg Bedard, of the Palm Beach Post, reports the Miami Dolphins have signed free agent RB Patrick Cobbs (Patriots) to their practice squad.
 
Released from the team? Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't he signed to the Practice Squad (not the team) like a week ago?

I'm sure it's just a typo... He was on the PS

it wasnt even a week it has only been lik 2 or 3 days, that has got 2 kill a kids confidence, get sign 2 a PS get all settled in nd then have 2 pack it all up nd go home

I assume that even practice squad players are considered part of the "team" even though they're not part of the 53. I know NFL.com still shows PS players on our full roster.

It's actually kind of funny because PS players pretty much belong to whatever NFL team wants them as long as you're willing to put a guy from anyone's PS on your 53 man roster. So maybe they should differentiate between a team's PS and 53 man roster.

Like the players on the regular roster, practice squad players have a contract with the team. Practice squad players just have a little more freedom to end the contract and sign with another team than other players do.
